Beauchemin wasn't a star when he was here.. but he might be now.
Streit.. he was a pretty awesome player.. and I'd go as far to say he was a team star in the past two seasons.. he was incredible and really came a long way. We'll see if he's an NHL star this season; he has an awesome chance to make the All-Star Game (DiPietro and maybe Comrie is his only competition).
I miss Jim Dowd. He was a hard working player who has made the most out of his ability. A guy you can put on the ice for 7 or 8 minutes a game to give the go-to guys a breather, and as a coach you know that he won't do anything foolish to cost your team.
Not sure if he fits into "not a star", but I always envied Martin Rucinsky and wore his number 26 for my entire amateur hockey career because he got to be Vincent Damphousse's left winger and that was my dream.
Vladimir Malakhov I always liked when he was on the Habs. Andrei Markov simply replaced him for me, and thats a definite step up.
I think I miss most recently Mike Johnson just being an unsung hero for us during the penalty kill.
