Sundin is welcome but can also go to hell if he prefers...
If he doesn't come it will just be a pleasure to see Montreal WITHOUT him win against his new team...
We always win this kind of matches as when we humiliated Theo and blasted away the Flyers and their Smurf center in regular season!

Gainey spoke today at Carbo's Golf tournament:

"It looks like Mats is just not interested in being a Hab. It's hard to be optimistic right now. He hasn't asked anything about us. We haven't spoken to him in more than a week."

-The last time he talks with Mats Sundin, it was 1 week ago.

-Sundin doesn't seem interess by the Habs, he didn't ask 1 question about the organization.

-The Habs lineup is build for Mats Sundin.

-He might try to trade with a team who is over the cap if Mats Sundin doesn't sign with the Habs.

-He is not interested by Brendan Shanahan.

Sundin hasn't spoke to Gainey for a while so he doesn't think he's coming. He thinks the Habs have the perfect line-up for Sundin, but don't think Sundin is interested. He might discuss with teams over the cap when Sundin will have made a decision.

That's not what it says. It says Shanahan is not a logical option.

I can translate you one thing : "He's not coming" actually means "I make premature conclusions"

Gainey says that he's still waiting on Sundin's decision.

Just says Gainey wants to be optimistic but Sundin hasn't contacted him much about the team, asked questions about it, just doesn't seem interested to come to Montreal.

Gainey said that Sundin said he'd make a decision in August and we're at the 26th and nothing yet, we'll hold out into September if that's what Sundin's going to do. We've got the perfect team for him and there's a spot. He also mentions he has had discussions with other teams about the possibility of a trade.

I hope I got that right.

Gainey says that Sundin doesn't like camp and hasn't asked the organization any questions about La Ronde, the line up already has a Sundin, teams with caps are possible trading partners.

Teams over cap and interesting trade targets:

Anaheim
D Mathieu Schneider (5,625 cap hit, 1 year)

Washington
C Michael Nylander (4,875 cap hit, 3 years)
C Victor Kozlov (2,500 cap hit, 1 year)

Chigago
C Robert Lang (4,000 cap hit, 1 year)

San Jose
C Patric Marleau (6,300 cap hit, 2 years)

Other teams with cap issues include Philadelphia and Calgary (and Rangers, if Sundin has chosen them).

I might be interested in making a pitch for Nylander.
