Kovalev Interview (TSN)

http://watch.tsn.ca/clip73734#clip86624
Nice interview with Kovalev on the upcoming season. He seems prepared for another good year. Hope this hasn't been posted yet.

Kovalev is going to have an awesome year. He's recaptured the magic and there's no way he's going back to the 50 point Kovalev.

His attitude is just fantastic, so easy going about change.
Remember when Kovy wanted to have a never changing line boy has be come a long way.
He wants to be the Hero that brings the cup home.
He saw what Messier did in NY and I believe he can do it here.

I kept telling you guys that the problem was Samsonov...the guy had a great year in 05-06 (65pts in 69 games) and another awesome year last year (84pts in 82 games). The guy just didn't like playing with Samsonov and it bothered him a lot. Kovalev has been great for the Montreal Canadiens since he was acquired in 2004. You can see the guy wants to win a Cup here and will do anything it takes to win it.

He's going to guarantee a win and proceed to score a natural hat trick? Where was that Kovalev in Game 5 against the Flyers

I like what he said. He seems to have really grown as a player off the ice. That could just be a matter of circumstance (good year/bad year) but some of the things he said led me to believe he has good hopes for next year and is really buying into the team.

and his comment on Mark Streit : "You said the same thing about Souray"

lol

But Sergei is better and Kovalev won't score 40 goals.

heh, remember at the beginning of the summer when he didn't make team russia cause they said he was too "slow". Kovalev mentioned in an interview that since they said that he was going to work on his speed haha, so I guess he really took it to heart and lost some weight.

I thought for a moment he was going to say Price was the reason they lost to Philly, but instead he praised Biron. I can still read between the lines.
