There isn't a palm and a face big enough to pull off the massive facepalm needed for this...facepalmery.

Don't want to hear any Flyers fans complaining about the "Ole" chant being stolen.

Did you not watch the Forum closing ceremony? Where they had all the living former Habs captains pass a torch down to the next, enacting the message in the Canadiens locker room: "To you from failing hands we throw the torch. Be it yours to hold high."

If they have no torch and they don't have all captains line up on a red carpet rectangle, you can`t really call it a rip-off.

But this will be nowhere near as special as the Forum closing. Habs have more history, and Forum had more history. Asides, Lindros and Clarke can`t stand each other, and you can`t seriously do without either.

What if they pass the Rocky statue? Or maybe just his gloves?

What's the problem? The Habs aren't the only club in the league that has history or traditions.

I just got back from Philly (a brilliant city) and they have absolutely rabid fans who eat up nostalgia, we're talking about a club that still plays Kate Smith's rendition of God Bless America before playoff games.

So that explaines Philly's murder rates.

Geez, let them do what they want, who cares if they borrowed some of our ideas.

It's a compliment if anything, and they do have a history.

as for the idea of the captains...who cares?
I think its kind of normal to invite all those that led you over the years.

In the writing world, most of that would be considered plagiarism.

No, that was me.

Understandable mistake, though.

C'mon people. Didn't you know this already? It's true. They inspire what hockey is all about and there's more hockey in the Flyers baby finger than is represented by the 29 other NHL teams as a whole.

Number 1: To win hockey games you have to beat the other team up! Hockey isn't about scoring goals.

If the Flyers were a person, they'd probably go take a dump and gift wrap it for your birthday thinking it's such a wonderful gift. Yeah it's dung, but it's Flyer dung so it smells like roses and potpourri. Right?

Amongst my non-Canadiens hockey fan friends, the Flyers are by far resented the most.

Coming from another Habs fan, you guys really gotta mature a little bit. Most of you were crapping in your Huggies diapers the last time the Habs won a cup.
