Gagne question

What kind of offensive expectations are there for Gagne next season? He seems to have been snake-biten with his point production.

It depends what line he is asked to play on. If Kapanen returns (looking for likely) and Gagne is put on the first line, I don't think 35 goals and around 65-70 points is unreasonable. That's assuming his center is Zhamnov, with which he scored at a 40 goal pace over a 20 game period.

I honestly would be dissapointed if he scored anything less than 30 goals, provided that gets 1st line minutes. 25 at the bare minimum.

If he's on the "checking" line again, I'd expect another year like the one he just had. However, if he's put back on the first or second line (where he should be) then I would expect more offensive production. He's definitely capable of 30 or more goals.

if hes playing on the top 2 lines and is healthy throughout the year, i think around 35 goals and 70-80 points sounds about right. he's entering his prime the next few years.

Now of course I always think highly of Simon,so I'll say try 40 goals.
