According to 'Frankfurter Rundschau', the Lions have signed a replacement for Jeff Ulmer.

Vorobiev (Concussion), Hereema (Concussion), Wright (Back Spasms) are out for the season opener, Gawlik (Groin) is questionable.

Danner is DTD after being hit by a puck in his neck...

I saw the Lions against Hannover but it was their first game after two weeks of conditioning drills.

The first two periods brought a good feeling about the upcoming season despite lacking for a good puck moving d-man/PP quarter back...

Yester, the Lions surprised me completely. With only 2,5 forward lines, they outeverythinged the Ice Tigers with only ten bad minutes in the third period.

Chernomaz honoured Schroeder with a really great speech before the game started. Jason Young had to wipe off tears and so did many in the stands.

I had mixed feelings before the game as I thought the team would be paralyzed by all the injured players and Schroeder's death. Right after the first face-off they skated, checked, and worked like they did it in the play offs last season.

Here is a link with youtube videos of the pre-game speech: http://de.youtube.com/user/TheLion83

I do not know for sure. In the Eishockey News Yearbook it looks similar like the one last year. But it is a very small graphic

Langfeld is a upgrade compared to Ulmer.
Not sure about Slaney.

Frankfurt lost 1-3 against the Polar Bears. Kavanagh scored the lone goal for the Lions.

You have to wait for TPs assessment, cause I won't see a Lions' game until Christmas.

Gawlik played only 4th line with Kopitz and Hahn/Taylor/Kavanagh. I think he needs another one or two weeks to be back at 100 percent.

Earlier, you asked about Slaney. *******, this guy is slower than anyone I have seen in the past years. As the Polar Bears scored the ENG, he lost a puck race starting with a fiveteen feet margin.

Missing a good puck moving D-man, PP quarterback, point threat.

Nice to see: Gordon is in really good shape.
