Our 3 strongest IMO.. I would use any of them before anyone else

Koivu, Kovalev, A.Kostitsyn

Then we have a few players I would not mind seeing at all

Tanguay, S.Kostitsyn, T.Plekanec, C.Higgins, A.Markov, G.Latendresse...

He surely is...therefore I'd go

Koivu
(insert first name) Kosty or Tanguay (dunno if he is a good shoot out guy)
and last Kovy (becuz he plays better with pressure i feel)

yup. I agree. Koivu was MONEY in the shootout this year. His dekes always fool the goaltenders.

What would you say is his pourcentage?

(just looking for a rough estimate)

According to nhl.com, he was 0-for-2 last year. I just looked quickly, but I didn't see a place to find shootout reports from other seasons.

Natey posted them.

Koivu is the best.

Koivu then the best players in the game seems a very good solution.. (not if it is Bouillon but in the list most people had, pick the 2 that got the best game).

Kovalev's percentage could be a bit higher too considering he hit the post a couple of times in the shootout.

I thought, after the breakway on Raycroft, we were gonna give Komi a chance in the shootout

I'd go with Koivu as the only constant and then round out the remaining spots choosing from Markov, Tanguay, Kovalev, A Kostitsyn and S Kostitsyn. I'd make the choice based on who has had the best game that night.

Mine would be in order:

A. Kostitsyn
Kovalev
Tanguay
Koivu
S. Kostitsyn

We have a lot of great potential shooters especially considering Higgins, Pleks and Markov are not in the list.
koivu is easily our best shootout player

he has to be in the top 3

well I was thinking about putting him there but I put Tanguay instead but Koivu could just as easily be there. I put Koivu 4th because he really only has one move and I think this year the goalies will catch on to it and he doesn't have a great shot. So by putting him 4th if he were to shoot, the goalies wouldn't be that familiar with him since he won't be in most of them. Also, I put Tanguay 3rd because I'd like to see what he gots , if he is bad then put Koivu.

In Baseball, sometimes you know that pitcher is going to throw fastballs with the rare change-up. The batter knows it, and the pitcher is just daring him to get it.

I think the goalies know what koivu's favorite move is. But Saku is so good with that move and also changes it up just enough to keep the goalies honest. We have seen the shootout for 3 seasons now, if the goalies are going to catch on to saku, it would have already happened. 50% is and excellent shootout percentage.

I'd put Latendresse in first. Cause I'm sure he can thrive in this situation and it can be one aspect of the game that might boost his confidence. Then the consistent hitter in Saku and I'd go last with either A kost or Kovalev. The 4th would be the one that wasn't choosed.

Latendresse
Koivu
A Kost or Kovalev
Kovalev or A Kost
Tanguay or Markov or Higgins or Plekanec(the hot one)
