Could be dislexia, so I'll be nice, but the name is Canadiens. Not Canadian, not Canadain, Canadiens.

And Lehoux is a Bulldog first and foremost. Could be a call-up, but he's behind the young players in the depht chart.

We will see. I think its safe to say he goes to Hamilton. But if one of our centermen gets hurt he should get another try witht the big team. Were not that deep at that position. He has one other thing going for him, he shoots right, thats rare outside our 4th line ... anybody have an idea of his faceoff ability?

Plekanec 49.4(ok)
Koivu 52.4 (decent)
Lapierre 49.1 (needs a bit of work)
Chipchura 43.8 (unacceptable)

It's too early to say that 43.8% will be Chipchura's high water mark. While some players have a knack for faceoffs, it's partly a learned skill.

I agree. But this team is not in the position to have it's 3rd line center learn how to take faceoffs during the season.

I try to accept pretty much everybody but this one just started my ignore list... gotta start somewhere i guess.

To get on the subject, I think Lehoux has NHL potential but so does Dagostini and Stewart etc... so I have to guess Gainey would rather go with someone from within the organisation, someone they chose and groomed for years. Anyway, for all those guys ( Lehoux, Dag and Stewart ), it'll be call-up only IMO so I dont see any of them making a splash at training camp.

Two or three years ago, yeah. I agree. Even the last year with Souray..

But our team is good enough now to let him try and learn over the course of the first half of the season.

4 pts in 10 NHL games in his career. I dont think he can be a big contributor but he sure can plug a hole if need be (injury). If you cant agree with that...

Maybe with injury but i'm pretty sure Carbo will try different thing before calling him.

His 4 pts in 10 day wasn't good enough to stick with a club like Phoenix. Good for him if it work for us but if we have a big injury, we are in trouble if we think this guys will save us.

While he's obviously not a saviour (though some thought Brière wasn't either, I'm not comparing them though....), he might fit into the category of a guy who hasn't had his chance and might do better elsewhere. Wouldn't be the first and wouldn't be the last.

Seems to me that he had a great AHL season during the lockout season. Then end up playing only 3 games with Phoenix in 2005 'cause he was behind guys like Ricci, Reinprecht, Comrie and Scatchard (who was pretty good at the faceoff circle). So pretty easy to see that there was no room for him. Then was traded in LA where he played only 7 games 'cause he was behind guys like Zigomanis, Kapanen, Roenick, Reinprecht. Not the greatest centermen combination, still pretty good at taking faceoff and more experience then Lehoux. So again no room there despite a solid AHL effort.

We do need to realize that he's, with a few others are battling against Chipchura and Lapierre here. Chipchura who's obviously still unproven, and Lapierre who we were suppose to move to the wing.....

4 points in 10 NHL games playing for two bad teams, isn't all that bad.. over an 82 game season thats on pace for a 33 (32.8) point season.

I would actually like to see what he could do playing with the quality wingers on the Habs, maybe between Higgins and S. Kost. I think he could be a 40-50 point guy, which for a third line player are pretty good numbers.

In junior and in a few seasons int he AHL he put up good offensive numbers so you never know.

I see it the opposite. When your team has no expectations you can take a chance like this. When you are hopping to be a contender you need people on top of their game. I'm giving him the start of the season to prove he can do it. But it wont take long to decide we need a guy we can put on the ice in the dying seconds of a playoff game.

Hey Tim please take the time to write your posts carefully, you seems to start a thread once every two months and do not even take the time to write your thoughts properly.
It is not abour grammar or lack of vocabulary, it is about time.

What I don't understand is how he can continue to spell words wrong and use crappy grammar when everybody that posts on his threads spell most words correctly and their sentences make sense.

If I made a ton of mistakes and people pointed them out to me, I would try to make sure I don't make those same mistakes in my next post. It's called learning!!!

The image that i have from Tim is a guy laying on his bed with his keyboard on his belly, he's kind of day dreaming and everytime he has a thought he types it on his keyboard, he's not even sure where it's being sent.

the signing makes sense, for now, its the only thing that matters.

good depth signing, who knows what he'll do.

Exactly, he could very well be extremely useful if we have lots of injuries this year.. (knock on wood).

I'm sure most of us could be surprise how he would react to NHL level.

Anyway this is a depth signing, heading to Hamilton, but it is an insurance(sp?) policy.
