I tuned in at the end of that period, and I think Jagr was on the ice the entire time (though it looks like they were on the PP).

Omsk is really gonna milk him for all he's worth.

Also, is the score 2-1 Akbars?

This is some ugly hockey

edit: I also don't think Cherepanov has been on the ice at all so far. Unless he changed his number?

Still #7. He's not getting much ice time though.

I don't think he's gotten a single second this period

Omsk seems to only roll two lines, and then either take a penalty, or get a PP

He had a few shifts in the second, I'd say maybe 6 or so. I went to get lunch and missed the start of the 3rd though.

He's getting no PP time, but I did see him out there on the PK for a shift.

I keep thinking I see him, but it turns out to be number 77

I guess I missed his short bit of time so far. Dunno

On the other hand, if he gets hardly any icetime this year, it might make him more likely to jump to the NHL

So far, Omsk looks like a pretty weak team

Hopefully. Jagr is eating up a ton of ice time out there. Can't imagine it will be any different next year.

undisciplined hockey.

Looks like the Rangers and Avangard are indeed trying to share their philosophies and the like with each other.

Omsk looks like the "7 years" Rangers.

No cohesion on the ice, bad, selfish penalties

Alexei Morozov took over and scored two goals to put Akbars up. Omsk is on a 5 on 3 with like 4 minutes left so they better start coming back now. Haven't seen Cherry at all but I've just been watching the 3rd...

edit: some guy on Akbars just blocked a shot with his face... and then Akbars got a 3 on 1 while shorthanded the next play. I guess we really are partners

Jagr's either overstaying his shifts or is being double shifted with Cherepanov's usual linemates. That's three times I've seen him out with Kuryanov this period (not counting PPs).

Cherepanov had a good chance right in front of the next during the 2nd, but otherwise, like everyone's been saying, he hasn't seen much ice.

I don't know if they're just trying to showcase Jagr or what, but it's starting to make me think that they don't think much of Cherepanov at this point.

It's probably too early to make those kind of statements with any accuracy, but I'm still not sure that he even got one shift during the entire 3rd period.

Maybe he did something to piss off the coach? Maybe they just wanted to ride Jagr all game long, I don't know.

It's also something I worried about when the idea of Jagr playing there came up.

I just hope it drives him to want to come here next season.

I think rangers will play much better without jagr. Riding jagr alone has never worked for any team.

Well Omsk lost. Good to see hockey again and the link DruMez posted was pretty good even if their play-by-play was a little ahead of the video. Hopefully Cherry gets more time next game, he had been a consistent player for them the last couple of years, it sucks to see him out of the loop now.

Wow that connection sucked, I caught the end of the 3rd and no sign of Chere.

That blows...

When is the next game and will it be broadcast via the web again?? I wanna see Cherepanov dammit.

I did see Jagr out there alot, it was kinda weird lol.

I'm kind of hoping that's the case. As much as I eventually want to see Cherepanov with the Rangers, I don't want it to be because he only got 5 minutes of icetime per game with Omsk because they're too focused on Jagr being the "savior"

Levitate, Omsk has last year RSL top-10 scorer Vic Alexandrov playing in 4 line and last year best playoff scorer Volkov playing in 3 line. They just idiots, they signed Jagr and when 4 million other forwards and now of course all of them aside from Jags will suffer individually.

I'm sure the coach will learn the error of his ways after his team gets its ass kicked a few times

I wonder what the official on-ice time for Cherepanov was in this game.
