OT: Albanoids and surrounding hockey fiends...

is set to make a Cameo appearance at the Glens Falls Civic Center on Friday evening from 4:30-6, I know there are a few locals around here, and thought I would just spread the word.

Got to see the Cup at NJPAC a few years ago. It travels with most of the other major trophies, all of which are really interesting to see up close, moreso than I had thought they would be. Would definitely recommend it.

Exit 18, about 50 mins from Albany straight up 87, then maybe 10 mins of driving across town.

How often do they travel? I guess I got lucky seeing it in Toronto? But then again, it was around Christmas time and what's Christmas in Toronto without visiting the HHOF? A post with 3 questions? Why not make it 5?

Hahaha, but is that the "one" that gets lifted or the one that lives in the HHOF all year round?

I didn't get to make it up there. Did anyone go? I was lucky enough to see the cup during the '94 All-Star displays in Grand Central Station.

I got to see Lord Stanley a few years ago in Point Pleasant, NJ... unfortunately the "chaperone" with the cup was Ken Daneyko. BOO!! It was still awesome to see it live.

To split some hairs there's actually two replicas, since the original bowl was regarded to fragile and is retired.

So currently there are two Stanley Cups.

The primary or real one, which is the one that players and staff gets to fool around with and a backup copy that fills in at HHOF when the primary is travelling.

But they are easy to tell apart since only the "primary" has all the spelling errors and corrections on it.

I know because I was lucky enough to snuggle up to it this summer

Got pretty big as Cuppa' Stanley was rolling up, 150 people atleast, people were taking forever with taking pictures with it (even if i was towards the front) So I can't imagine how every single person got to see it within an hour.

I tried getting a pic on here, but something was going haywire.
