A quote from J.P. Dumont on the subject:

Quote:
"I know it's a lot of money to play back at home, but … if you have a contract, you finish it and then you're free to do whatever you want,'' Dumont said. "That's something we don't want to see in hockey. You see it in some other sports and I think as hockey players, we're kind of proud that players don't just walk away from a contract.''

The conditions under which the 2nd contract was initially signed also constituted duress (which the NHL's Russian labor law expert said was a concept in Russian law). I don't think anyone could say that Malkin wasn't railroaded into the 2nd contract.

That pretty much spelled the end of Radulov's NHL career.

Eh. He's playing in his homecountry. If both of the leagues were offering the same money, he'd probably play in Russia still..

Most europeans who come to the NHL probably do it for money

Not so much the opposite.

Don't dog the city of Nashville, it's a great place to live. We're not the redneck, hee haw town you believe us to be. In fact a US Business magazine named Nashville as one of the most attractive cities for relocation 2 years in a row, the first time any city had been named in consecutive years. We're Music City USA too, not just country. Now we're home of Nissan, Bridgestone, Saturn and Dell, just to name a few....

2nd, He would have gotten paid here after this season, look at Weber's contract, Radulov would had topped that.

I really don't think Nashville is the "home" of Nissan, a Japanese automaker.

Nissan USA, maybe.

I say it´s about 99% why they come to the NHL... No joke.

Of course it is. The number can be debated, but for most europeans, of course it is about money.

Actually Nissan is owned by Renault, a French company. If you're going to correct me, be correct.

And technically, it's not the "home" of Dell either, it's the 2nd largest Dell campus, Round Rock Texas is still the largest.

radulov is no longer suspended by iihf and the khl has allowed the case to be decided by a 3rd party member (arbitrator or court) if the nhl allows it...also the khl takes back its claim about the signings of filatov, tikhonov, krog, fedor fedorov and mojzis but the khl still stands against the signing of mayorov, voinov and lohtionev...

Offers for Radulov?

Now that there is speculation and evidence that Radulov wants to return to the NHL, let's discuss the possible trade scenarios. I would rather keep Radulov than trade him, if he make a serious effort to restore the faith of his teammates and the city of Nashville...but I'd like to see what teams would be willing to give up for him.

I doubt teams will give up much considering he may again decide to take his stick and run home. Nashville is probably stuck with him (not that it's a bad thing) since he's probably worth more to their club than someone would be willing to give up for him.

You can have a mid round draft pick for him if you want to get rid of him bad enough though.
