your impressions of lane manson's trade value

say from colorado or toronto, what would you guys like to see if he was available, and also, if he isn't available how do you guys feel about him in his development?

He is a long term project. I would not expect him to bring that much in return, right now his height is his greatest asset.

I think he is at least 3-4 years away from contributing at the NHL level, if he ever does.

I agree with BTN.

I would trade him without a second thought for a draft choice today--say a 2nd or 3rd rounder.

The odds you get a 2nd or 3rd for manson is slim to none.

I agree that his trade value is low. In fact, I was surprised that DW signed him at all.

I suppose you can teach a player to skate but you cannot teach them to be 6'7".

same things people were saying about chara (as was i when he played here that year.. ugh) his skating use to be like watching paint dry

What did we get for that other Thrasher defensemen who was as a tall as a redwood? Pauli Levokari. Not much. Frankly, you would get so little back for him that you may as well hang on to him and cross you fingers that he becomes something useful down the road.

The only difference between Levokari and Manson though is Manson is younger by 6 years.
