Trade ?

If by some miracle Lauri Turkonen was still available at #7 would you be willing to deal Matt Foy or another prospect and the #12 to move up 5 spots to take him? I really don't think it would take a lot to move up that many spots this year just based on the number of players who are rated as equal between #5 and #25.

Tukonen to me looks like a concensus top 5 pick. If he were to fall out of the top 5 and even top 6, lots of teams would be looking to get that 7th pick to take him. Foy I don't think is at all close to what you'd have to add with the 12th to get Tukonen...

If Foy would have a better season then last (injuries and all), things would be more ideal to make a trade to move up in this years draft. I'm high on Tukonen, but no way the Wild do things they need do to move up that far.

I agree with this...in fact, I think he is least likely to slip down to there, who is not named Ovechkin, Malkin and Barker. Seems like he is perceived as a very "safe" pick, with top 6 potential and a first line ceiling. Can't see him slipping past Glen Sather at 6.

So, if the question is, would I trade Mat Foy, another prospect, and the 12 to move up to the 7 to take him, I would say, fo shizzle!

I have to disagree with the price to move up 5 spots. Only because everyone is saying that between about 4-20 the talent is pretty equal. Now if you had the 25th pick and wanted to move up to 7 I think you would need to add a solid NHLer like Dupuis.

I like Tukonen because there have been several scouting reports that indicate he is a surefire sniper in the league 5 years from now.
