Only once did I get to skate at MSG...

And it was such a cool dream because Leetch passed me the puck for the breakway and all I heard was...

"Ramos! On a break! Stanley Cup in his hands...he shoots, HE SCORES!!!!!!!"

But it was the funny announcers voice from the Pens. (Strrrakkka shooooots heee sCcccores) Weird

I wish! All my games were played at Bear Mountain, West Point Tate, and that rink near the Newburgh Beacon bridge (what a horribly long drive from Peekskill). JV and Varsity champions though, worth the drive and crazy ice times. I wish I had the same zip for waking up and driving crazy far for hockey like I did in highschool. =P

I had two practices there, a game on Hartford's ice, and ALMOST played at the Joe Louis Arena. I had a tournament in Detroit. First game lost to Alaska 1-0, then beat Columbus 6-0, then Chicago 11-0. Then The two undefeated teams, Detroit and Alaska, played each other. It didn't matter who won, we had more goals than both, we'd be in. Guess what? They ****ing tied. I was so pissed. Great time though. Finished in 3rd place.

Yes it was a dream but I was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time...

I've played with a quite a few NHL'ers just from being an employee at Chelsea Piers and playing in the top division there.

But that was over 7 years ago and 3 knee surgeries later. I'll be lucky to squeeze into Division 3 after a good rehabbin'...but I'm only 30.

Now I'm dreamin just to play again let alone get back to that level. It's been a while.

Skating/playing with Leetch in the offseason was definitely the highlight of my hockey life. Schneider was there as well and Glenn Anderson was a regular on my team.

thats awesome. i played with Minnesota's Kurtis Foster, he missed the net and broke the boards with his slapper. it was nuts, just a big whole in the boards.

Twice. Once inbetween periods as a squirt and once before a game as a peewee in a full 15 minute, three period tilt.

HA, that's crazy.

Glen took a big ol' slapper and hit this Russian kid we called him Chooch, right in his visor. He was hilarious with his russian accent and he said...

"Dude, Anderson did this to me" (pointing at the huge black scuff mark on his visor)

Where do you play and what level? I might be lookin for a team soon if you play Mens league. I'm in Miami now but heading back home in 2 weeks. Won't be able to play for another couple months...maybe. Let me know

When I was 10 or 11 I had the pleasure of skating with my team in a scrimmage during the first intermission. I remember that Sergei Momesso scored during the game, I believe it was against the Florida Panthers, 3-3 tie? I dunno.

I was kinda dazed by the crowd and was on the first shift. Almost scored on a pass through the crease. The crowd was ridiculous.

The Utica Auditorium? I live about 15 minutes from there, but like you, I also participated and won two NYSHS Div 2 tourneys back when I played. What team did you play for Gong and when did you play?

I played there when I was 13. House League, Chelsea Piers.

It was in an empty arena, save for the players, coaches, and parents.

When me and a friend from my hockeyteam was at a 1 week NY hockey trip last october my friend had the hardest shot in a competition and was down the ice at MSG for the "puck race".. I made a short movie-clip about it. Please note that this is recorded with a mobile-phone so the quality is not so good.

It was fun as hell to watch though =)

I know the music is not 100% rangers,,,

I'm not 100% certain but the name Ice Time sure rings a bell. It's on the west side of the bridge.

I have actually played there one time. I know the guy who runs the NYPD V NYFD game (I think they play at the collesieum now.) And the NYFD goalie got hurt a few days before the game so he called and asked if I could fill in. It was crazy, but.. It ate the crap out of my skates.

pls, its the Utica Aud. Thats what MSG is modeled after I believe. I live less than 10 minutes from it. I've played there dozens of times on my high school and youth hockey teams.

You guys are bringing back memories of when I used to live in Westchester and played hockey there. I normally played at Westchester Skating Academy in Elmsford but I played at West Point, Brewster, Bear Mountain and a few other rinks around Westchester.
