Good thread. Gives us an idea of which posters will be handing out mindless criicism before even one game. Also, it gives some posters the chance to bring up the "damn french media", something which we are really lacking on this board.

Theirs no negativity in the entire thread. Your response bashes me as a poster and also your quote "damn french media" is negative, I simply stated the montreal media.
I think anyone who takes offense to a harmless post that was done for interest sake may be taking these fan boards a little to serious.

Our boys can't have an adequate Poutine supply in Toronto, it's as simple as that.

Goat: Toronto's restaurants.

People still remember all the hype they had over Lats. After he injured that TPL player into retirement. He stopped playing the game the fans liked and since, has been looking for a new way to play. Not much has been working, or blame it on his inexperience in the nhl. None the less, we all are aware how ruthless habs fans(including us) can be ruthless at times. And sometimes we don't see the fact that he's still new to the nhl. So I'M betting he's the sacrificial lamb this season, unless one of the other 3 completely pull a Ryder or worse.

Michael Ryder, of course. He could never please the partisans. He'll score well for Claude Julien and the Bruins and the Bell Centre crowd will curse him.

Me.

Unfortunately I see Saku taking the heat if things go bad like every other year. It's already started with the Golf Tourney.

In order for it not to happen, we have to concentrate our hate on opposing players.

The Ryders, Charas, Brieres, Théos, Averys and Ron Hainseys (...) of this world better watch out...

That accounts for half the season...

For the other half : Dandenault

Dandenault and Bouillon are the only two I know will be ragged on.

Erik Kostitsyn will rag on Higgins and others will realize he is a great two way player and not a whole lot more offensively.
And people will call Gui fat (but he will score near 25 goals)\

The French Media will bash Koivu and some will get on his case in the Winter months when he has his 20 game slump but those haters will disappear come March and April.

S. Kostitsyn will get off to a slow start but he will not be effected by the sophomore jinx for more than a month or so.

Well, we have one thing on our side: Tanguay is a UFA after this season (that could be a good thing, we'll see...).

Samsonov was skating circles and circles going nowhere fast in Montreal, except going to the bank to cash his checks!

Tanguay...he just might do well in Montreal (he's a better/smarter player than Samsonov).

Bah, you ascot wearers are all alike.

Sorry about missing the McPhee-Clover slam dunk, but I thought Clover's mother was a hedgehog.

I voted for Sergei...I just feel that expectations are too high from us. He'll be good, but not as good as many of us think...

How come there are only 4 choices in the poll, and all of them forwards on the same line from last season? And why aren't coaches, GMs, and scouts mentioned?

Do we really need one ?

It is childish at best.

And it is retarded to take a 20 year old kid who is playing on a bottom two lines to do so...

I'll say Higgins only because I see him having a smaller role on this year's team compared to last year's and the year before. There just isn't enough room in the top 6 for him and his stats will likely take a hit because of it.
