He and his partner, Logan Pyett were far and away the weakest point on team Canada. He wasn't good at all, he was rather terrible actually. As I've said, he has good physically tool, but no hockey sense.

Don't know if this is really the best spot, but since he was mentioned:

Fehr - I don't see him going anywhere. Not in terms of location, but in terms of career and skill. He seems to have a "me first" mentality in his playstyle on the ice.

If he's at a terrible angle, and the center is open in front of the net, he will shoot. The man hates passing and is basically a miniature Ovechkin, but without the skill, passion, team interest, or joy. On top of that, he can't even shoot! Last season: 40 shots, 1 goal. 0.025%. The only player on the team with lesser numbers is Laing, the defensemen, and the goalies. When the team's enforcers are beating you out - that's a problem.

I really don't understand what people see in the kid.

Trade him away

If we trade Nik, we need someone that can play and make an impact now.

What about this...

Antropov
Ponikarovsky
Steen
Van Ryn

for

Semin
Fehr
Laich
Carlson

He had a tough time in his first two games (so did guys like Doughty, Marchand, Pyett and a bunch of others), was ridiculed for not being able to control the cannon for those games on the PP, but I just don't see how you took this kind of view of Godfrey if you watched the whole tourny. His stock went up considerably. By the end of it he was Canada's top scoring d-man with 5 pts in 7 games, was +2, was blocking shots and using the body, and had proven he could take care of things in his own end IMO. Anyway, he was solid and impressive after game #2 IMO. It's just odd to me that his stock went up for just about everyone based on a performance you say proves he's worthless.

Mathieu Biron and his 253 games of NHL experience say hi.

That's god-awful. I wouldn't give you Semin for that mess, let alone throw in the other 3.

I find it funny that people say Pogge will never be a starting goaltender or will never make the NHL.

Not everyone can make it right away, most of the prospects hit some bumbs along the way.Pogge just wasn't given the chance to start in the playoffs, the only start he got was when things were going south for the Marlies

whatever you are smoking i'd kindly ask you to put it down.

you want to take our second best offensive player, our top RW prospect (fehr) one of our best heart and sole guys (laich) and probably our #2 or 3 defense prospect (carlson) for three guys who haven't proven anything in this league except that they will frustrate you and a guy who is coming off major wrist surgery (van ryn)?

wow man. just, wow.
