Yeah I really like KK just because it was such an unlikely story, but looks like the magic has run out unfortunately.

Somebody please explain to me why Charlie didn't pinch run for Matt Stairs when he has an expanded roster?

I was listening to WIP this morning and there was mention that they might not start Kendrick again this season, however the name that came up as a possible, albeit not likely, replacement was Adam Eaton.

Thats just as bad. They should just rotate Myers and Moyer every other game.

I would give Happ the opportunity.

I agree as I really never want to see Eaton on the mound for the Phils, but from what they were saying on WIP the Phils are reluctant to start Happ since it has been so long time since his last start.

Good luck getting Hamels to pitch on a maximum of 3 days rest.

Now, if Gillick had gotten Sabathia, then you'd be looking at Sabathia, Hamels, Myers and Moyer. That's a freaking scary rotation that could have taken this team deep in the playoffs.

Good luck with 95 year old Jamie Moyer on 3 days of rest from here on out as well.

Last night was kind of like a start for him. He had plenty of time to warm up and pitched 3.1. Good enough warmup to throw him out there again imo.

At least Moyer would be willing to give it a go.

It's not me saying that Happ shouldn't get a start, just repeating what I heard on WIP. As far as I'm concerned he couldn't be any worse than Kendrick right now.

They didn't because they had to save iguchi or taguchi whichever one came in, for feliz, cause you know stairs is so amaizinly fast compared to feliz . I mean really you have golson, taguchi, iguchi, etc and it was i think the 6th or 7th innning how many more opportunities would the phillies have to pinch run for someone other then burrell. I feel though that if someone ran for stairs then it would of been 10-9, and therefore make the comeback a little easier.

They're going to have to sweep the Brewers to have any shot.

Myers didnt pitch great but he was ok. gave us some innings. we need to score more runs. This team has alot of whole and are not built for a world series but I still hope we make it to the playoffs

I also hope that this offseason that we can fill this roster. We have hamels, Rollins, utley, howard, lidge, Victorino and myers. We just need a few more peices and we can be not only contenders but favorites

I know it will never ever happen but...

1. Rollins
2. Utley
3. Howard
4. Manny
5. Werth
6. Victorino
7. Feliz
8. Ruiz/ Marson

1. Sabathia
2. Hamels
3. Myers
4. Moyer
5. Carrasco

Come on, we can all dream

Really...they've put themselves in this must win situation with the Brewers to have any shot at the playoffs. If they had at least won the Florida series, things wouldn't be as bad. I was at the game last night and most of the fans quickly forgot KK's awful outing, but its a shame to come so close and lose.

So, the team loses 2 out of 3 in "must win" series and what does the manager decide to do? Criticize the fans, just brilliant.

They need to sweep the Brewers. By the way the Phillies are now tied with the Astros led by Ed Wade who was making moves when he was 12 games out at the NW deadline. If the Astros make the playoffs, the entire league should fold.

I guess the Jimmy Rollins syndrome is taking hold of the team. When things go bad, instead of pointing fingers where they should be pointed, just blame the fans.

And if my mom had a dick, she'd be my dad. I'm tired of people vilifying Gillick for "not getting" Sabathia, as if there is only one party involved in making a trade. Milwaukee had the best prospect to offer, the Phillies didn't. That's no fault of Gillick's.

Not that I'm directing the above at you, pelts, it's just that plenty of people have irrationally lamented the same point about Gillick "not getting" Sabathia when, in reality, he never really had a chance.

Of course, you should all know it's always somebody else's fault.

What did they say?

"Blah blah blah we're a 2nd half team don't listen to FH who says we're just resting on our laurels and forgetting what it takes to win."

Fast forward a few months to a 26-23 2nd half (so far) and it's "Blah blah blah, fans like FH who wanted us to work hard and not rest on our laurels are the reason we're losing."

Sad.

Don't strain something patting yourself on your back.

Wasn't our starting pitching fine?
