Im only kidding, if that is the Roy night it is going to be so hard to get tickets I am trying my best to secure even 1 for mylsef but should I run into a slew of them I will buy as many as I can and let you know.
Dandenault is not a joke. While I'm hardly going to state definitively that he'll have a roster spot based on last years performance, he will have one if he earns one in training camp. The guy can still skate and has experience. I don't know why he couldn't be inserted into the roster on the fourth line for BGL when we play teams like Buffalo.
Honestly, I don't like Dandenault, still he can be part of a top 6, as a #6 of more than a couple of teams in this league. Thing is we've done the best we could to destroy any hope that a team might view him as a capable d-man and especially with this salary. But then we've showed that he could still play up front showing some versatility so at one point, there has to be some interest. But now, teams want to know what they have so they're mostly waiting for their camps to start and then address the problems if needed.
I can't help but be sad for Dandenault...he's not a great player, but he's a team guy, works hard and definitely is a 3rd pairing D in this league... I really hope he gets picked up by a team in which he can show his value.
I don't like his game that much... not at all actually. I'ld be more inclined not to play him at all... trade or wave him as a last resort, idc.
But I still feel he can have another chance. But personally, I think he's a *****, most certainly cause he can't admit that he needs to step up his game and adapt to our style, and not the other way around.
He is still relatively young and is very experienced. Furthermore, he can skate faster than most and his versatility could be useful in much the way Streit was last year. He's also a UFA next year so he'll be playing for his next contract as a further incentive.
He signed here as a free agent when few would at the time and I think it's only fair that he be given every opportunity to earn a spot on the team.
I thought Dandenault was pretty solid overall in his role as an energy line forward. And I don't see how he could be any worse than Brisebois on D. He has the versatility to slide back again if we're ever really in trouble there. So yeah, I think he has a place on the team. So long as he wants it, in the capacity that's available to him, that is.
His salary doesn't really matter anymore. We don't have any other use for his money, we've got enough of a cushion to make deadline acquisitions, and he's UFA in the summer. So that one lingering complaint should evapourate now. Clearing him before the free agency period to try to use his cap hit to secure a player who would improve our team was something I would have been in favour of. But that ship has sailed. So you might just as well keep Dandenault.
In the highly unlikely event that the team is 100% healthy, I don't think it hurts Chipchura to play a leading role in Hamilton at times. If it came to that. And I'm about the biggest Chipchura fan there is.
We pretty much assumed this but fourthperiod is reporting Dandenault more than likely is getting the boot. We got GL to take penalties for us. We don't need Dandenault adding to that total plus taking up cap space..LOL. With Ryan O'Byrne and Pavel Valentenko fighting for a regular position.
