This won't work unless they really rework his contract and change a lot of legal scenarios in regards to his contract.

i'm sure that he would still have to work out his countract if there is still a year left on it. doesn't matter if its 1 or 5. and it will hurt his chance for ufa status the longer he stays away from the nhl.

i could see a trade with the rangers coming up if he returns.

I would welcome him back on a few conditions. But the main ones are if he goes out and acts like he wants to be here and plays well then I'll be happy.


And then if he scores a goal and or gets a few points @STL in the first game that will help, too.


But I agree, if he comes back before camp starts then what has he really done? Play a few games in Russia and came to camp in much better shape than last year.

But I don't expect to see him in Nashville in the next 7 days. Or any time after that.
