You're getting old ? I remeber when Ted Tevan was the new voice on Mtl. radio, on CFOX, I believe.

I'm a big fan of The Man in Black himself, Johnny Cash. One of my favourite recordings of his is Sunday Mornin' Comin' Down (written by Kris Kristofferson). Here's a sampling:

Well I woke up Sunday morning
With no way to hold my head, that didn't hurt
And the beer I had for breakfast wasn't bad,
So I had one more for dessert.
Then I fumbled in my closet through my clothes
And found my cleanest dirty shirt.
Then I washed my face and combed my hair
And stumbled down the stairs to meet the day.

Classic.

I'm also a fan of anything by AC/DC and Metallica.
AND, if anybody's listened to the Album/CD Hanky Panky, a cover album of Hank Williams songs by The The....their version of Tear in my Beer is something...

Jacques any fan of Johnny Cash is a friend of mine. Did you ever hear how KK got that song to Johnny Cash ? It involved commandeering an army helicopter and a landing on Cash's front lawn. An old friend got me listening to Johnny Cash as a teenager back when I thought anything that wasn't by Cream,CCR or Hendrix had little value. Now my 13 year old and her gang beg me to put him on in the car. It shows some hope for her generation. You haven't lived 'til you've heard 13 year old girls singing Delia.

That's righteous! I'm going to write a screenplay based on that! Imagine a full length feature based on trying to get a song to The Man in Black.
Any ideas for:
a title for the movie.
who'd play Johnny and a young KK (so long as it's not Matt Damon and Ben Affleck)

I'm slowly breaking my 11 and 8 year old daughters in. They're currently fans of old Aerosmith (70's stuff). Working on Dylan and Cash.

People call her to settle trivia and rock&roll history arguements. If someone makes an erroneous claim about Bob, her tablemates get up and start to move away because they know trouble is coming.

Hmmm....wonder where she gets if from...

but I digress...we seem to have wandered off the beaten hockey path.

of course, one of the best hockey songs is Warren Zevon's Hit Somebody (the Hockey Song)....another classic. It doesn't mention the Habs, but more importantly, it doesn't mention the Leafs.
