Belle is also an Edmonton born player, so it was probably him.

Was the player a righty or lefty shot? Subban is a righty and Belle is a lefty.

I think Steve Quailer is going to be an interesting player to watch this year.

And I can't wait for Danny Kristo in Omaha. I might be expecting a lot, but I am expecting that he'd be top 5 in this league. Omaha should have a good team once again.

A nice Perezhogin goal on a penalty shot.

http://hksalavat.ru/e107_plugins/med.../view.php?3014

Also Trunev sat out last game, so he's played in 3 of 5 games so far and is getting 7:37 average ice time way less then any other player on the team.

Wow nice goal by Perezoghin. I'm really happy to see his progession. He seemed to have blossom in Russia.

As for Trunev, that's what I was afraid of. He seriously needs to play a lot at this stage of developement. Things are not looking great with the stacked team of Cherepovets... I wish he would come to North America.

Hey Guess What???

Trunev didn't play again.....and his team won 6-1. He's not close for going back in the lineup...

HF's Prospects to Watch in the KHL:

http://www.hockeysfuture.com/article..._khl_in200809/

Quote:
Among the most popular young players in Russia there is Alexei Emelin (MTL). After his move from Lada, he has declined a bit and thus he will try to rebound, maybe with the intention of finally jumping overseas for the next summer
Quote:
Undrafted Maxim Chudinov has played in only one match so far, while Maxim Trunev (MTL) is not succeeding in his task of becoming a Severstal regular; he plays less than ten minutes per game. Things can change because this team has potential, but the situation isn’t bright at all for them now.
Quote:
CSKA is doing a good job with youngsters lately, Konstantin Korneev (MTL) is now the team’s captain. Reliable and calm, Korneev is improving year after year and is now CSKA’s top defenseman

Yes, you do indeed...
A. Kostitsyn hardly played in the RSL the year he was drafted. That didn't seem to have a major downturn on his abilities. In fact, that might have helped motivate him to move west. The same thing could very well happen with Trunev.

But I would also believe that it is one of the reasons why his bro developed faster than him. Definately a better development league...if you play. If it makes him angry making him come faster, good. Still, I believe he can also believe that he didn't play this year, but next year might be different.

What's the story there? I kinda missed out on that chunk of Trunev's development. I remember he was drafted in the import draft, next thing I know he's in the KHL.

There was some talk that he would've come to the Q, but got drafted by Portland. The fact is he's under contract in Russia for this year and next, so I think it's a moot point.

Hm...why would he have come to the Q and not the WHL?

There has been talk that the Habs set things up so he would be drafted by a team from the Q. I don't see any reason why he would prefer the Q to the Dub, but I can definitely see why he would prefer not to play for Portland. They're one of the worst teams around.

---

That's where it came from...

Missiaen 31 saves in a 4-1 win. Third star.

Also, too bad Torp isn't getting any games. He has yet to play a regular season game of any sort since 06/07.
