Perreault testing free agent market?

I may be really stupid but I was never aware of this lol maybe you guys have talked about it before but I never realized he wanted to test the free agent market... I just read it from the RDS article on Quintal now . Sorry if this is old news.

Quintal deviendrait ainsi le quatrième joueur du Canadien à quitter l'équipe. Joé Juneau a annoncé sa retraite alors qu'Andreas Dackell jouera en Suède et Yanic Perreault testera le marché des joueurs autonomes.

Translation:

Quintal would become the 4th player from the Canadiens to leave the team(this year that is). Joé Juneau announced his retirement, Andreas Dackell will play in Sweden and Yanic Perreault will test the free agent market.

I did not have a point! I was simply unaware of his situation.

He'll find a job somewhere.. I like him as a player.. he had a hand in the habs first round success.. there's no denying that. He's a good face-off man.. other teams see this and will sign him.

Yanic Perrault I remember I wanted him to sign a few years back because he was a decent addition to a team that seriously lacked talent (like we did 3 years ago). Now, it is time for him to go. Guys like Ribeiro and Begin offer more to the team, and our team is unwilling to keep him around as the third liner (which he could do well with defensive wingers).

Tough season for Yannick...Feel bad for him.
He was our best sniper for 2 years...Now he don't fit in. It's like everybody was on his back this season. Sure we need to improve but we also need to remember the memories...those who helped us in the past. Yannick helped a lot.
