Let me just say that if my girlfriend bought an Andrei Kostitsyn jersey on her own accord, I would do anything for her as well

On a different note...

TSN specualtes in their Habs segment tonight that these will be the forward lines:

Andrei-Plekanec-Kovalev
Higgins-Koivu-Tanguay
Latendresse-Lang-Sergei
????-????-Laraque

You can find the video @ www.tsn.ca/nhl

I just saw a video of Latendresse skating, and what an improvement! I said in another thread that I thought the media exagerated his skating improvement, but he looks really faster now!

I think that third line would be a defensive liability.

Agreed... switch Higgins and Latendresse and you have my lines....

You could even switch sides with Tanguay/Lats.... so Tanguay is at LW and Lats at RW.

AKost - Pleks - Kovalev
Tang - Koivu - Lats
Higgy - Lang - SKost

Switch Lang and Plekanec and you have my lines

Kovalev slowing the play down is the perfect fit for a slow Lang

Higgins-Pleks -S Kost

gives a defensively strong 3rd line with enough speed to punish opponents in transition for any mistakes they make. Remember how good the Higgins-Pleks duo were on the PK two years ago?

Just about choked on my cereal this morning when I started reading this article in the Gazette...An upper-body injury to report from yesterday's first day of Canadiens training camp: defenceman Mike Komisarek...

then I kept reading and laughed...

Livingston says in today's Gazette that he was amongst the 5 fastest in camp in yesterday's tests. I find that hard to believe, lol

I just heard Latendresse was one of the 5 fastest Habs in camp on Friday. Strange how this hasn't been brought up on this board.

Except that it has.

I saw the rds vid and honestly, he really does seem WAY faster than last year. Can't wait to see him in a real game. BTW, what shocks me most is not this, but Price losing 28lbs. He goes from 225 to 197 in one summer. Are you kidding me?

Pierrefonds SportsPlexe Practice- Day 1

Hey Guys, Just got back from the Sportsplexe 4 Glaces In Perrefonds. I live 5 minutes away and got there at 9:10am (practice started at 10am). i wish i could give you a report but the place was so packed that I coulden't see the first rink at all and I didn't feel like waiting for the practice to start on the second rink at 11:15am.

What a zoo...I'm sure tomorrow will be even worse. For those who actually want to get a seat, arrive at least 1 hour and a half before they start.

Crazy in that place..

Me too...should be coming at around 12:30pm-1:00pm. I should have gotten there earlier today but I would have thought getting there 45 minutes early I could have at least gotten a standing view. Its actually worse then it was last year.

Practice only today...scrimmages tomorrow.

The practice lines are interesting.

The highlights in no particular order:

Lats-Lang-Kovalev
Andrei-Pleky-Sergei
Higgins-Koivu-D'Agostini (I think you can safely pencil Tanguay there)
Begin-Lapierre-Laraque

Experiments or a sign of things to come?

One thing that was observed early was the fact Alex Kovalev and his lineate from Pittsburgh, Robert Lang, came on the ice together, the last two players on for the 10 a.m. session.

Kovalev and Lang seemed inseperable during early drills, with Kovalev jokingly tossing pucks at Lang several times during skating drill.

Sorry, I'm not moving our best offensive Centre to the third line....

Make no mistake Plekanec is our best offensive centre; I don't have a problem seperating him from Kovalev, but at least give him one of Andrei or Tanguay on his wing.

And reading the practice lines I want to know why are we going

Andrei - Pleks - Sergei... instead of
Sergei - Pleks - Andrei.

Carbonneau will you never learn??
