I just saw a video of Latendresse skating, and what an improvement! I said in another thread that I thought the media exagerated his skating improvement, but he looks really faster now!
Kovalev slowing the play down is the perfect fit for a slow Lang
Higgins-Pleks -S Kost
gives a defensively strong 3rd line with enough speed to punish opponents in transition for any mistakes they make. Remember how good the Higgins-Pleks duo were on the PK two years ago?
Just about choked on my cereal this morning when I started reading this article in the Gazette...An upper-body injury to report from yesterday's first day of Canadiens training camp: defenceman Mike Komisarek...

Livingston says in today's Gazette that he was amongst the 5 fastest in camp in yesterday's tests. I find that hard to believe, lol
But you probably won't get a chance to meet everybody...certain players will hang out, others won't, for whatever reason. I don't remember seeing anyone with pics of them and Kovalev, for example.
I guess im pretty lucky then.
Took a pic with him 2 years ago after a game.

Except that it has.
I saw the rds vid and honestly, he really does seem WAY faster than last year. Can't wait to see him in a real game. BTW, what shocks me most is not this, but Price losing 28lbs. He goes from 225 to 197 in one summer. Are you kidding me?

Hey Guys, Just got back from the Sportsplexe 4 Glaces In Perrefonds. I live 5 minutes away and got there at 9:10am (practice started at 10am). i wish i could give you a report but the place was so packed that I coulden't see the first rink at all and I didn't feel like waiting for the practice to start on the second rink at 11:15am.
What a zoo...I'm sure tomorrow will be even worse. For those who actually want to get a seat, arrive at least 1 hour and a half before they start.
Me too...should be coming at around 12:30pm-1:00pm. I should have gotten there earlier today but I would have thought getting there 45 minutes early I could have at least gotten a standing view. Its actually worse then it was last year.

One thing that was observed early was the fact Alex Kovalev and his lineate from Pittsburgh, Robert Lang, came on the ice together, the last two players on for the 10 a.m. session.
Kovalev and Lang seemed inseperable during early drills, with Kovalev jokingly tossing pucks at Lang several times during skating drill.

Sorry, I'm not moving our best offensive Centre to the third line....
Make no mistake Plekanec is our best offensive centre; I don't have a problem seperating him from Kovalev, but at least give him one of Andrei or Tanguay on his wing.
And reading the practice lines I want to know why are we going
Andrei - Pleks - Sergei... instead of
Sergei - Pleks - Andrei.
