best Habs edition - Saku

From Koivu , this is the best Habs edition since the begining of his career .

http://www.corussports.com/canadiens...9-1178903.html

it's good to see that the Habs captain is more confident this season ...

I don't know how high the Habs can go but they've got to get past the 2nd round. Make it a milestone rather than a millstone! Of course there's a lot more depth and a lot better quality than in a long, long time. Just compare this edition to the one that appeared in the 2002 playoffs. Very few of those players would have had enough talent to make this team. I still find it hard believe that the 2002 team upset the Bruins, who finished first in the East in the regular season.

"The reason why I stayed was because I saw the potential and the fun that is possible here, and I want to be here if the team wins the Stanley Cup in the next couple of years.''

i guess we put aside the rumors he isn't resigning here - or being traded for that matter

People that thought he would be traded or would not sign here are the haters that have booed him most of his career as captain.

I gotta say one thing about former Pen Laraque. What he does right now is brillant. He is being friendly to the media distracting them from other players. Now, they'll go to him for EVERYTHING letting guys like Latendrese, Higgins and Koivu alone. Great move by Laraque. Great way to protect his teammates. You guys seems like the team of destiny, it'll be fun playing against you. Talent vs talent, it'll be great. Good luck!

Please elaborate, particularly on how you might twist this into something like how simple it might have been for Koivu to all but guarantee a Cup. I'd like to hear something worth listening too.

Harry, he was a Habs fan until he jumped on the Penguins bandwagon.

I noticed TSN's also doing a 30 teams in 30 days preview; did I miss the Canadiens feature? Today they're at the New York Rangers, but I'm not sure if it's alphabetical or not.

Pretty sure they are releasing the previews for the 6 canadian teams at the end.

Ah, you know what, I didn't think of it -- I guess the 6 video previews for the Canadian teams means they'll only do 24 written previews for the rest of the league.
