They play lots of U2, (i personally love it) but anyways, it's not just the DJ, or director that decides, A lot of players are U2 fans, and love to hear U2 played as an Intro or whatever they like. They are the one playing and it's THEIR home. It's not really to the fans to decide what song they wanna hear.

as a Leaf fan, I can say without a doubt that the intro for last years Habs playoff games was sick. it game me goosebumps. I think Fix You is the perfect song to open with. And Vertigo is another great pick for goals.

the playoff intro with "Where the Streets have no Name" transitioning to "Fix You" is epic (along with the crowd atmosphere)

I'm a U2 fan but even I realize that vertigo sucks especially when we had the perfect goal song before that.

I'm sorry for all U2 fans, but I have to agree. It might have been popular like 4 years ago but I just can't stand it anymore.
