I guess it comes with the territory to keep the AHLers happy that you give them a shot.
But truth to be told, there is nothing to be seen in him and in the end he will prolly get IT on the cost of kids who got some potential to make the bottom 1-2 lines.
Its kind of like with Zabrosky, PAP isn't a NHL player -- no matter how sexy he sounds or whatever stats he puts up. If you can't play, you can't. Z will never play in the NHL and shouldn't even be charatirized as a prospect -- he just is way too far away in every aspect to level of play he needs to even remotely start challenging for a NHL spot.
I dont think Fritsche will see anytime at center for this team. Renney has stated he's going to use him on the wing. Can't remember where i read that but its the case...
I'm really looking forward to seeing how Fritsche works with Dubinsky, what Zherdev looks like in a new setting, and if Orr can keep making a good impression. Should be a fun game tonight, Let's Go Rangers!

Was the game 2 nights ago on NHL.com or newyorkrangers.com? I subscribed to Center Ice thru Dish Network but they don't seem to be playing preseason games.
should be a pretty good game.....looking forward to seeing anisimov, korpikoski, fritsche, zherdev and redden all play tonight to see how they fit in......IMO if kalinin doesnt have a good camp(which from what i read he isnt), i wouldnt be too surprised if potter gets the spot over him.....he is younger and looked very solid IMO in his first pre-season game

ugh. orr gets another game.... i understand there may be some need for him to pound someone so it makes sense but the thought of him playing 2 games in a row. ugh. i would think he makes the team no matter what and would prefer to see some kid play.
should be fun watching him try to keep up with arty and korpedo, both of whom can fly. im thinking hell be last man in the zone more than a few times....

Orr is playing because the Sens are dressing MAtt Carkner a former defenseman trying to make the team as a right wing/enforcer. Carkner will go with anyone and Orr is in so the Dubi of te world don't have to fight him.

exactly.....with the amount of young talent on the ice for the rangers you want to make sure no one goes crazy from the other team during a meaningless game

im positive they did.....at least the online version did because they were trying toget people to subscribe(which i did)......i got to see a couple of the preseason games as they didnt show all the games every night
I'll catch the beginning of the game and be on and off when the Jets game starts at 8:30. Should be an easy win for the Rangers since we have our first line, but winning this game wont really matter much. Its just a preseason. I like it better when we play our B team vs the A team. It lets us evaluate our lower players against their top players.
I wonder if Jamtin and Kondratiev will get a chance later in the week; I figured they would be playing tonight. Reading (a little too much) into the lines, I wonder if Fahey has passed Kondratiev? I'm excited to see Korpikoski and Anisimov play, hopefully they will make it hard to keep them off the team. And it's nice to see Weise get to play a game early on, he earned it in Traverse.
