He's done it every night since he got to the Rangers. No reason to think it will change.

Bleed...

Prucha played limited time on the top line with Jagr. I'm willing to bet that he played more with Betts that season than he played with Jagr. And at the end of that season he had a string of a few games in which he played very well when Ruca went down. Jagr had been slumping and seemed to be brought back to life when Prucha joined the line. When Ruca was healthy, he took his spot on that line. That doesn't mean he should be on a top line, but three seasons ago he did play well on Jagr's line in his limited action.

If you want Dubi to have top 6 spot, you gotta move someone.

People always want their cake and eat it too.

Gomez has speed and control which would be good on the right wing, zip down and throw the puck across the middle to a streaking dubi and naslund. He has a great outside move and could gain the blueline easily.

With his left handed shot he can streak down the right side, stop and pop a pass across the middle from behind that will be hard to stop. Plus taking him off center would reduce his need to play defensively, leaving that to dubinksy. And then he can focus on scoring points.

Since he is left handed he can get a wicked onetimer off on the right wing.

He's a natural center, don't move people around for no reason. It's pretty dumb to move a veteran player to the wing when he's never played wing at this level before. At least Drury played a little bit of wing (though I'm not a fan of moving him to the wing quite yet).

Actually, Fletch, I'm pretty sure he started out on Holik's LW in his rookie season.

he was? I thought McKay and Brylin played with Holik and Gomez centered a line with Lemieux. I can't remember for sure though.

I don't think Lemeiux started the season with the Devils that year. I'm pretty sure he was dealt to the Devils for Rolston after the season was under way.

good memory, jas...

I had to look that one up! Claude did still play in 70 games for the Devils that season - almost the full year. I gotta admit, I don't remember the season very well, nor do I remember Gomez playing wing. Although, to be honest, aside from the 'A' line, I can't remember much from the 99-00 Devils (isn't there a Pat Metheny CD with that title, less the Devils?).
