Well, on a pretty consistent basis...as in, almost every shift...I think there are times when he's just not quick enough.
And he made several stupid decisions with the puck tonight. Coughed it up at least three times that I can clearly recall.
As I said, I like Downie....and he certainly does some great things out there. But, on the whole...in my opinion, he's not good enough to be an NHL regular. Hopefully he will be eventually, but I still don't see it. Maybe as a fourth liner, but it seems they're hoping to get more out of him than that...and with that in mind, I think he should be a Phantom when the season starts.
Well, i didn't see much of any of that in my opinion. I thought he was the best forward on the ice
Can someone please give me a report on how Sbisa did tonight?
And when will we be getting him back?
Might be the weekend, if not next week. I'd think 1 or 2 more preseason games before they decide how much of some other players they want to see. He's got no hope of making the team because there are simply too many defensemen under contract, so there is no real reason to keep him around the entire preseason when he can play in competitive games, and there are a few other guys they want to get a look at too.
