Weinman confirms Gomez line is playing again, but that is it for now.. presumably the rest will be the same lineup from Saturday.

The White team left with "a few extras". Take it for what it's worth, but Naslund, Gomez, Zherdev, maybe some others + this will make up the roster for tonight.

G---Valiquette, Wiikman
D---Rozsival/Staal, Potter/Mara, Denisov/Kondratiev, DelZotto/Murray.
F---Dawes-Drury-Prucha
Voros-Nedved-Rissmiller
Sjostrom-Anisimov-Parenteau
Byers-Moore-Jessiman

Looking forward to it! Amidst the Jets going nowhere and another Mets collapse, a new Rangers season is always a beacon of hope.

Hoping to see DZ again. Obviously he has zero chance of making the team, but I want to see if his first game was an aberration or he is really that poised.

agreed, he was all over the place, and that nedved goal doesn't happen without that smart, crisp pass to voros.

I hope someone buries Gary Roberts.

Also, Tampa has one weird lineup. It looks like a collection of spare parts from all the teams in the NHL (which it kind of is, I guess). This looks like one that the Rangers should win as well, but might depend on who's in goal

This schedule is probably overkill.

I hope this doesn't wear the guys out for the start of the season.

Remember, after this crazy week they have to go to Europe.

That said, looking forward to seeing Stamkos.

Definitely not this year, but he can help his case in advance for next year.

I am still impressed with how confident and poised he looked. He is much better defensively then advertised.

Well the good thing is that they have so many extra players right now, they can rotate guys in and out so they don't end up playing too many games.

The bigger concern is that they're going to be playing on Olympic sized ice for the last couple of preseason games, which could throw them off when they start the season (especially for Lundqivst...I'd almost consider not playing him in those games)

The other thing is that they do need to start cutting back.

They basically have this week to decide who stays and who goes.

And you would like the guys who are staying to form more chemistry with each other and get into a routine as linemates before the season starts.

And this schedule hampers that a little, it forces guys to stick longer. And takes away practice time.

yeah that's true, which is why some of the guys guys seem kind of upset about it

bad scheduling by the Rangers...it seems like every preseason gets more and more ridiculous. They need to cut back and give these guys more practice time

Haha, did you miss the offseason?

I have to say though, if things click Tampa could be on the best offensive teams in the league. They should have good primary and secondary scoring. Lots of depth basically

The mediocre defense and the goalie situation immediately places them out of cup contention though, in my opinion

No, I know Tampa went crazy this offseason, this is just the first time I've really looked at their lineup.

I know their missing at least Lecavalier, but that offense doesn't scare me toooo much. It should be good, but Detroit and Pittsburgh are going to blow them out of the water in terms of offensive play.

They cant start cutting back because of their intense schedule. The reason most of these guys are still up is to make sure the opening night roster wont get worn down by playing this much.

HORRIBLE job by the Rangers to schedule so many pre-season games.

That's the point i was making.

On top of the schedule, they need to make decisions.

And the schedule forces guys to stick around longer that wouldn't have normally.

You'd like to start seeing lines start to gain chemistry at this point but it won't happen because people need to be interchanged due to the schedule.

And taking practice time away is also a problem.

It is fun for us fans, because we get to see a game every day, but if it has long term effects on the team, that is bad.

All you Prucha lovers...

WATCH him tonight, really WATCH HIM... single him out and follow him around. Watch how he doesnt create any offense and watch how his shot is over-rated.

That is all.

Maybe you should watch him more closely and see how you are wrong?
