No lines, but here's the people playing..

F: Gomez, Naslund, Zherdev, Betts, Anisimov, Korpikoski, Jamtin, Jessiman, Orr, Parenteau, Byers, Sjostrom

D: Redden, Girardi, Kalinin, Del Zotto, Sanguinetti, Potter

G: Valiquette, Wiikman

Link: http://weblogs.newsday.com/sports/hockey/rangers/blog/

My guess:

Naslund-Gomez-Zherdev
Korpedo-Anisimov-Parenteau
Byers-Betts-Jessiman
Sjostrom-Jamtin-Orr

Redden-Girardi
Kalinin-Del Zotto
Potter-Sanguinetti

Eh, I don't think Orr is really on the bubble like people think. In my opinion, he's going to be the spare forward that Renney will play when the Rangers need someone in the lineup who can fight.

Could just be trying to get a feel for where he is so far this preseason.

Tough to figure out what's going through a coaches mind when it comes to preseason lineup. Maybe Orr doesn't get into anymore games after this one.

That is all.
People have been watching him for going on four years. Everyone has their opinion on him by now, and you think one exhibition game will change that?

Agreed that he's not really on the bubble. However, I disagree that he's going to be a spare forward. He played in 74 games last season and I'd expect Tom to suit him up in about 60 or so this season. I think Tom is playing him so much in the preseason to see exactly how far his skating and defense has come.

nah,

preseason is usually loaded with AHL goons looking to make a name for themselves and are usually filled with fights. Orr is there just in case every night right now. The Sens series was tame but I don't expect that to continue.

\\

then his playing so much would indicate just the oposite. why look at a guy, at the expense of others, if hes already got his spot secured?

i happen to agree with you by the way. we havent got another puncher so to me, hes a lock. but he should expect frequent healthy scratches i would think, because no matter all the crap were being fed about his off season skating work, hes still one of the worst skater/hockey players in the league.

his punching prowess against heavyweights is, however, impressive.

I think cuts come Friday...

Gonna be hard to watch Prucha tonight seeing as how he isn't playing.

I'm very interested to watch Jamtin tonight. I've heard good things and I'm hoping for the best.

Agenda much? Lets slam someone before they step foot on the ice for the 2nd time this season I'm neither a Prucha lover or hater but you have to admit he did well his first two times out, had a crappy year last year and this is a brand new season; anything can happen. Get off your high horse and give the guy a chance.

Edit: He's not even playing so you'll have to wait a game to rip someone a new one before they even step on the ice

Im guessing with that roster, something along the lines of

Naslund-Gomez-Zherdev
Parenteau-Anisimov-Sjostrom
Korpikoski-Betts-Jessiman
Byers-Jamtin-Orr

Redden-Girardi
Kalinin-Del Zotto
Sangs-Patter

Vally
Wiikman

Depending on who they want to get longer looks at, or what they want to do defensively. Im just guessing here.

Pretty sure I read somewhere that cuts will come the day they leave for Europe, but I think that's painfully obvious.

If Girardi develops some more, and Del Zotto pans out, they could be an awesome pairing in a few years. Italian stallions. I'd like to see them play together tonight.

Really?

This is what our offense will look like at the start of the season:

Prospal - Lecavalier - St. Louis
Vrbata - Stamkos - Malone
Roberts - Jokinen - Recchi
Tarnasky - Gratton - Artyukhin

All capable of scoring 30 goals and 60 points

Offensive minded defenseman in the top 6:
Meszaros - Carle - Ranger - Niskala

I'm not trying to say we will be the best or even good on defense, because we most likely wont. But we will be damn good on offense.
