Irregular jersey numbers...

With all the retired numbers, I realised that our prospects have 'irregular' jersey numbers. Pacioretty (67), Glumac (98), and etc.

Even our goalies wound up with weird numbers Dejardins (95 I think), Danis (had 75 even though he's with NYI now).

That's what you get for being so successful for the past 100 years.

Hahahhaha, they could also retire their jockstrap ( with a little bit of freebr££ze)

Pacioretty's number fits him well.
Expects to see a forward wear the # 34

I was hoping MaxPac would have #39, like he wore in Michigan. I like it more than #67. Oh well.

Some of these guys might change their #'s with regular playing time.

one of my friends wears number 67.
When we ask him why he says...

"better than Lemieux, not yet Jagr"

..maybe thats MaxPac's reasoning too.

But don't you see that in the pre-season, regardless?

These preseason numbers are not the usual numbers when they make the team....

More numbers become available at that point and they can change their number if they make it as a full timer.

I'd hold off on buying any jerseys of Max Pac #67 for a bit.

Even in their first year...

Tomas Plekanec agrees

98 is such an ugly jersey number, I find.
Although I'm pretty sure Glumac won't ever make the Habs, so why worry?

First year on my hockey team I got stuck with #98. Would have kept it if I knew Glumac was going to popularize it like no mans business.

I was actually thinking what if Lemieux (yeah Claude) comes back and wears 66

Wasn't there some high first round pick (not for Montreal though) that started his career with #98 (while Gretzky was still playing), managed to make awfull lot of noice about being "one step from Gretzky" and fail miserably. He only resurrected his career after changing to more ordinary numbers.

But yes, it will take some bold player to regulary wear #66 in near future (and probably quite character to wear #69).
