Nothing personal against the Blues. And I can feel kinda sorry for them, but...YES!! Finally! It's not us!!!

Wow....I knew he was hurt and would miss some time.....but an entire season? If the injury is that bad it could affect his entire career. I hate to say better them than us....but if this happened to Doughty I would not be able to contain my anger.

I have heard of some strange injuries in my time (remember the baseball player who had to go on the DL TWICE because he had bad dreams of spiders and fell into glass tables?)

But I have never heard of a ACL going because of something like this! Good god... any idea of how bad a rip it turned out to be? Is it a tear or did it come off the bone?

I dont know about you guys but when I golf, I drink. Odds are they were too, and that's why he got his foot caught in the pedals while trying to get out.

Didn't a baseball player hurt himself picking up a pillow?

The best one was the player who threw out his back while sneezing. The list of how these guys get injured is great.

We gotz the best Johnson now! Muahaha! But seriously, that is a major blow for them, especially over something so trivial as injuring yourself on the golfcart on the green. I wonder if Pietrangelo is going to make the squad now?

Wow. This is horrible news for the entire NHL. This kid blows the doors off every young defenseman in the league, Phaneuf included. Future Norris candidate. Can't believe he screwed up his knee that bad.

This puts a serious hole in St. Louis's rebuild.

Update: I'm watching Hockeycentral at Noon on Sportsnet here in Canada and they just said something that makes this injury a lot less baseball-ish. Apparently, Johnson and the boys were actually playing polo golf using their carts, things got out of hand, and EJ ended up in a head-on collision.

I'm not sure if these are the exact facts of the situation, but this is what Mike Brophy and Darren Millard heard from sources and it does make more sense than the old tearing the ACL while stepping out of the golf cart story.

New Law Needed...

All Golf cartists must wear their seat belts at all times or be cited by the local cart pole-Lice!

Never heard of Golf Cart Polo... seems my dog town friends would have thought of this if they could have afforded the golfing life style! Crazy Kids! I wonder how much the team will fine him for this?

Wreckless driving of Golf Carts... is there a Law against this?

No, but the Blues will be PIIIISSED. And not just at him but at the other guys as well, especially if they all tried to cover it up.

I can't exactly agree that he "blows the doors off of" Phaneuf, but it can clearly be argued that Johnson is the best young d-man in the NHL. I am sorry about his injury because I was looking forward to watching him play this season and so were lots of fans all over the league.
