The hit is on rds.ca click on Intégrale : mise en échec sur Carle
Ok that was really weird, it says he was taken off on a stretcher and they show like 3 minutes of video none of which shows a stretcher or even a player on the ice.
From the hit it looks like he may have gotten his bell rung, it was a fairly dirty hit, shoulder to the head, but he should be fine, but I'm no doctor. Bell tried to pour the guy but those damn linesmen got in the way.
Last year people were saying the only reason we did good was because we had few injuries... wonder what the excuse will be this year? Even if they aren't serious, we already have like 7 injuries geez... I hope they are all ready before the real games start.
I hope Carle doesn't have anything too serious, 2 years in a row is really bad luck and it could really depress the kid if he is out for weeks/months.
I'm sorry but aiming for the head, shoulder or no shoulder, is dirty...
But, I admit Carle should be more carefull, he let himself wide open...
He wasnt aiming for the head at all, Carle had his head down which is why it may seem like a headshot to some people. What is Kopecky supposed to do? Skate around him or give him a little push? Lucky for Carle he only got hit by Kopecky.
I'm not gonna argue the semantics over the hit. If your head is down, you're not following the most basic fundamental of hockey. I don't care if it is a race for the puck and you are trying to gain speed with nothing in front of you but a goalie. Keep your ****ing head up.
The worst part for me is that up to that hit, Carle was the best of the non-roster defencemen for the Habs. Subbanator was flashier and easier to notice but Carle was solid in the Habs zone. He was doing a good job.
I hope he plays one more game before the pre-season is over. It would be tough to end it like this.
