Tomas Plekanec was happy to be reunited with A. Kostitsyn and Kovalev. That line will be better than it was last season. The Hockey News rated A. Kost as #10 among NHL LWs but by the end of the season he'll be regarded even more highly. Not bad for a bust. Kovalev was rated #7 among RWs

I was relieved to see Halak play a good game after the shellacking he took against the Bruins (although it wasn't entirely his fault).

I don't disagree with that, as a matter of fact I can't 'cause I haven't seen the game. But somebody is wrong in their assessment of Ryan and I might know who's wrong. 'Cause some journalists said yesterday that he was disspointing and Subban was actually doing better than him. They've urged him to wake up 'cause he might actually be cut....

I listened to the whole game on CKAC and didn't hear him say that...and I don't recall anyone saying it on La Zone either, so it must have been those geniuses at 110%...

They both played well for juniors. Not anywhere near NHL ready.

Give me a break.

They are not that far ...and are both probably 1 year away from being in serious contention. In fact, I think PK could outplay our bottom 3 in January if we keep him.(We won't and it's the right decision) Hes a lot more talented than Obyrne, Bouillon, Gorges and Brisebois, just much less experienced. I expect this year to be the last year for Bouillon and Brisebois; Carle(hope hes all right), Valentenko, Emelin, Subban and Weber will be in competition at next year camp for 2 spots.

It's fun to think we have 2 more first rounders that we don't get to see in the training camps yet.

That's exactly what I was thinking watching Weber and Subban, although McDonough and Fisher will not be as flashy. Add Valetenko and Emelin and the word stacked is not an understatement.
