good for him, I guess. Maybe he'll get some playing time since that team sucks **** anyways

He just was never going to get it with the Rangers, so at least he can attempt to make his mark somewhere.

Good for him. He didn't have a place on this team, but I'm glad he'll have an opportunity to play in the NHL. And that should help us when we play the isles

He signed on as a free agent, stayed on with the organization when he didn't have to, and now he'll get a chance to play in the NHL. Best of luck.

I view players potential in terms of reaching their playing capacity, and Pock had the capacity to be a solid third pair D-man. Hence, I think he was working his way to filling that role.

Now he has a better shot at playing. I kind of saw this happening.

He's going to be 27 in December. This is not a prospect anymore. He would be the 5th oldest defense on the team behind Redden, Rozsival, Mara and Kalinin.

You might think he was making progress but he was sliding down the Ranger depth chart from year to year.

Hope he doesn't end up giving us 8 "I told ya so" performances a year.

Good luck to him though.

I'm glad someone took a flyer on him and it looks like he'll get a shot in the NHL. He wasn't going to work out here after he made it pretty clear last year he wasn't satisfied with being a 7th defenseman.

He's going to play fantastically for the Islanders and it won't help them one bit.

I'm fine with that as long as it helps keep them out of the Tavares sweeps.

Glad for Pock, only disappointed that he didn't get his chance when players with less talent were welded into the Rangers lineup. C'est La Vie.

I don't think it's a big loss. He's capable of playing in the NHL but kind of a borderline player. Both Potter and Fahey have looked pretty good to me. With Sanguinetti, Sauer and Del Zotto in the pipeline--I think the numbers game was working against him anyway. Good luck to him--at least after he moves to another team than the Isles.

Well, I think we're only playing the Islanders 6 times this season, so we won't have to worry about those extra two "I told ya so" performances unless we see the Sticks in the POs.

Sticks in the playoffs...

Back on topic, though. Good for Pock. Marginal player at best, no room for him here, hopefully he can stick out in Nassau.

There really are no cap implications. If he cleared waivers, he'd be in Hartford and wouldn't have counted against the cap. The only thing this does is save the Rangers a little money and reduce the number of NHL contracts the Rangers have (teams are limited to 50).
