Got it, but no idea who this is. Not listed on the Flyers website or on NHL.com but I will check TSN.

The transaction and the player are not there either.

He was a pretty good college player... but he has yet to register an AHL point. Unless the scouts know something nobody else knows I think this is one of those 50/50 signings. Kid could be pretty good, or he could be shyte... Either way we only lose pocket change.

How come they will sign this Guy but not Philadelphia's own Tony Voce from Boston College ? He was in the 10 finalist for the Hobey Baker, 2nd in points in Hockey East, 12th in points in NCAA division I.

Voce hasn't signed with anybody else yet, has he? Who says they're not trying? They went out and got local kid Laux last year from Cherry Hill. It could also be a matter of finances. Voce is a UFA coming out of college, just like Umberger was, so he has a choice of where he wants to sign. You can't force a UFA to sign with you.

because maybe Voce is commanding more interest then Brent Robinson?
i think Voce stays in Boston and signs with the Bruins, IMO.

I did some digging around on the net. I don't think he got the chance to play very much with Hamilton of the AHL. I bet you he sat out some of the 5 games. This is usually the case when you sign an ATO contract. His stats are decent with Brown University.

As quoted from habsworld.net. This is an AHL game report Hamilton Bulldogs vs. Toronto Roadrunners. They gave him a rating of 'B' in his AHL debut.

"Robinson: His ice time was extremely limited in his AHL debut, but when he was on the ice, he didn't look out of place. He was adequate in the defensive end, and generated a few offensive chances as well. B"

He comes from the NCAA system where they play under 35 games in a season. He will have to get used to playing 80! It will be interesting to see what happens during training camp.

Also, he's still listed on the Hamilton Bulldogs website?!?
