I'm willing to bet that there are 22 scouts at just about NHL game.

You're right I used one comma too many. I wanted to put in an interjection, but got side tracked. Oh, even if fragments are not proper grammer, they are a literary tool used by many authors to highlight a point.

Weber won't stay in Montreal if he is not playing almost full-time. Right now, with Hamrlik injured, he's got a chance to show his stuff and maybe stay for a little while. Brisebois is the number 7 d-man. that's all.

There are scouts at every game. Especially in the preseason. I'd be surprised if there weren't 15 or more at any game played in a major arena.

Well that was the point, I think. If the scouts are there because of a possible trade involving Hab players, then Gorges could be on the block to make room for Weber. I'm not saying I like it or that Gainey should do it. I'm just saying that I wouldn't be surprised.

Marc got it right, most will be there to see the Wing's extra dmen like Meech and Quincy who must clear waivers before being sent down. Both are decent puckmovers and teams like the Pens are definitley in need of one now.

No-one is getting paid for this and his sentence was readable. There is a reason why we call them Grammar Nazi's: No-one likes them

The only guys I could see losing spots are Brisebois, Lapierre and Dandenault. Everyone else looks pretty secure.

They're there to watch Bégin's eyes.... and have some fun to a strippers club, after the game.

There's a log jam in Montreal also.

I think the obvious is Dandeneault but it wouldn't surprise me if Lapierre is moved with the emergence of Chipchura this camp...we know Carbo/Gainey are high on chips and he looks ready for 4rth line duty atleast.

LOL....

But the real reason they are there is that the Canadiens have decided that they will cut up and sell the ice after the season. Fans in attendance tonight get the first opportunity for pre-orders.

Gorges turns to be a very reliable d-man , but he doesn't bring anything special beside that . By now , both Gorges and Bouillon are trading material , because they can give us a return ( at the opposite of Brisebois ) , and because they have nothing special that the team can't replace

I think Gorges will turn out to be a bargain at his price. Guys like him who can play bottom pairing minutes but fill in like he did for Komi last year are worth keeping. I agree that he doesn't have one standout attribute but I think he brings value.

If a deal was on the table that would improve the team, I have no attachment to Gorges and won't throw myself off a building, but I just can't see deals out there that they would be looking at yet.

They want to know if a kid can play the right point, if Lang is ok 5 on 5, if Koivu or Kovy show any wear and tear. They have to decide which young guys will be signed long term, I just don't see a deal out there unless they've already made those decisons.

That's really bad. I would've made that same joke, but it's till pretty bad.

I will try and convince my daughter that Shakespeare was actually French and the play was actually about omelets, but was poorly translated into English.
