Preissing/Gauthier
O'Donnell/Doughty
Harrold , Hickey

really not terrible and it is young
It wouldn't make any sense for Hickey to be a 7th D, he'll be on the team full time or in Juniors.

Good to have another Irishman on the team. He never should've left in the first place.

You think about hockey when you're in bed? ok, that's just sad.

That's what I call the "Cat-Bird" seat!!!

Added 7-15 pts. from the blue line. Smokin' hot!

Dumpster-diving is one thing, we're verging on sewer-scuba. Sean has had some good years but they are way behind him. The $1.25 X 10 to the 6th helps us crawl across the floor.

The Kings motto should be The same one that's on the "SOL".
Give me your tired, your poor,Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed, to me: I lift my lamp beside the golden door.

My guess would be how many games he plays. Maybe betweeb 50 and 60? Oh wait, I meant 50 point range... Or did I?

Yeah after his Junior season ends, he doesnt match the age requirement for Junior aged players so its either the NHL or Seattle for him. He would be eligible to play in the AHL after Seattle's season has ended and then next year will be AHL eligible.

I actually really like this move. He is a very tough old school D man and he can provide protection and mentor the young D men.

O’Donnell has played in 767 of a possible 826 games over the last eight seasons, appearing in at least 79 games in eight of the last 10 seasons.

I guess the only thing left to take care of now is to sign O'Sullivan; Hello...Dean!

O'Donnell is pure class, good Ottawa boy and a solid pickup for the Kings

So no one is pissed off by this move? Amazing. Another question answered. All that remains is Sully, er POS. (I never liked the POS abbreviation, but it's growing on me).

I dont think there is a reason to be pissed about it. He's going to cover Doughty's ass and let him make mistakes but teach him in the process.

Johnson, Greene, Gauthier, O'Donnell, Doughty and Preissing. Big tough guys and a couple of puckmovers. And then there's Harrold. Preissing getting traded seems more likely now.

Well the team will be tougher to play against this year with Greene, Gauthier and O'Donnell if nothing else...

Good pick up though I was hoping for someone a little better and younger. Yes Hickey goes back to juniors. I really believe its best for him to play one more year in juniors and one in Manchester then I believe he will be ready - 2010-2011 for Hickey.

Wow it really is shocking to see so many ok with this deal after going through so many defenders where there were mixed opinions. I must say this year we may suck but at least you can guarantee we won't be pushed around. I like this new physical system and adding EDM's top two hitters (Stoll, Greene), Gauthier, O'Donnell

This is HF you're talking about. I agree though, he'll be a good teacher for the young d-men.

I still highly doubt it. As much as many around here dislike the guy, I think managment is still high on him.

The conditional pick means that if O’Donnell is traded again before the deadline this season, the Ducks will receive the Kings’ third round pick. If the the Kings keep O’Donnell past the deadline, the Ducks would get nothing in return.

So the Kings need to get more than a 3rd for him at the deadline to make it a wash (doubtful). Interesting move.

He's no worse than any of the other potential targets that were on our radar. At the very least, he's another body to hurl in front of the young guys should the need arise.

And, hey, if DL was dead set on diving into that dumpster, I'd rather he come back up with a rabid dog than a... well, a Chris McAlpine.
