I know. But only two guys on either side are usually doing something (pitcher & catcher, batter and player on deck). The other 7 are usually doing nothing important. They occassionally have to run down a ball but 90% of the time, they are just standing there.

I enjoyed baseball as a kid. Played it a lot with the neighbourhood kids. But I just can't stand watching it anymore.

its the only Pro Sport you can play 3 games of in one day and still not be tired.

That said going to games is awesome and the playoffs are pretty good.
I could never follow a team all year on TV watching all 162 games.

I grew up watching the Leafs. Harold Ballard and Punch Imlach were screwing around with the team. I was just a kid around then. Just as I was getting sick of all the crap, they traded Lanny McDonald to the Colorado Rockies. I was looking for a new team and was sort of following a few casually (NY Isles, LA Kings, Atl Flames, Col Rockies) and when they shipped him to the Rockies, I decided to start following them more closely. I stuck with the team despite the fact that they traded Lanny just over a year later and then moved to New Jersey.

I didn't get to see much of the team so I followed them mostly in the papers through the score sheets. It's much better now that I can follow them on the internet.

Edit: And yes, I'm still in SW Ontario ... London to be exact.

Playoff baseball I like because the stadiums are usually packed and the fans are more into it.

But I'm the same, I have a hard time keeping interested in a team for a full 162 game schedule. I do pay attention to the Jays, but not quite like I did a few years ago, and not anywhere near as closely as I do the Habs.

Nah, I'm about the same age as H10H. Too old to have crazy fun like a university student but too young to be taken seriously.

You a fan of the Devils?

You must make a lot of savings over valium purchase.

Isn't ironic? The Devils created rock n roll and movies and ect, and he's so not boring, yet the team sporting his name, is like the most boring in the league...

My wife is from here. I like it too. Big enough to do the stuff you want to do but not too big that's it can be hectic (like TO, Montreal). It's really more like a really big town than a city.

Remember when we got interviewed outside the Bell Centre during the playoffs vs Boston? I actually made the newspaper with my lucky socks story. I donít know why I just remembered that.

Bah. Everyone says that but don't really see them play. It's a stupid stereotype. They play pretty much the same style as 2/3 of the league. They are just better at the team defence part of it and not as good at the offence part. Some years are better than others. Last year was bad. The Julian year was worse. The early 2000's were high scoring.

I know he probably wasn't. But everyone hears Devils and the first thing that comes out of their mouths is "boring" ... It gets tiresome after awhile. I'm not the type of fan that thinks they are the greatest every year. I just enjoy the game and hope they have a chance to get in the playoffs and do well.
