Anyway we'll have some injuries so I suspect all 4 (Lappy, BGL, Kosto and Begin) to see their fair amount of games (50+ each)
Kostopoulos will see 70 IMO. Same with Laraque, or slightly less(65)
Begin is the big ? in my books. Lapierre is lost at this point so that's why I'm leaning with Chiper. Stewart could play if Begin can't keep up.

Potulny is a fine depth player. Another guy that struck me that is on waivers is 2006 draft pick from the Isles, Tomas Marcinko. This kid was kinda hyped at one point in that draft. A 6'4 centerman that has some nice speed and skill for his game, I really wonder what's the problem with im.....

Do we have to expose D'Angositi to waivers if he is sent down?

I'm confused. Why does Marcinko need to be waived? He's 20 years old, played in the OHL last year...

He's still a decent prospect, though he hasn't put up huge offensive numbers.

That's a great question, I was surprised as well to see this still that's what it was written on the list I read. Might not be true though 'cause it does seem strange.

Don't think so...only if he had 3 years pro, I think. The whole waivers thing can get kind of confusing. I think Dags got sent down yesterday, and no waivers...

McLaren on Waivers! Put Dandenault on waivers, and get him.

I know he's the enemy after the Zednik incident but it might piss the Bruins off....

I have another one! Cory Murphy seems to be on waivers too. He could be this year's Streit. Get him and put him on the PP.

^ You are.

Like I said in the thread on McLaren, he's not the player he used to be at all.

Brisebois is already here and is better than Murphy. Why are people so obsessed with other people's trash.

I'd take Murphy over Brisebois any day of the week.

'Cause in today's NHL, it might not ALWAYS be 'cause of their hockey skills but for other considerations as well.

And I personnally don't think that Brisebois is soooo much better.

The waiver wire is going crazy...good old cap world. Deadline for teams to get under the cap is tomorrow at 3pm EST. So we can expect more players to be waived I'd imagine.

Habs imo should definately concentrate on putting there spare parts on waivers rather then claiming someone

But, Murphy over Brisebois would be a huge plus for us

Ryan Stone from the Pens will be available and while he doesn't seem to have the offensive touch some thought he would, the kid is a pretty big 6'2'' centerman with tons of grit. Who else is scheduled to up there that could be somewhat interesting?

Or should we already be prepared to see Lapierre at that position by default even though he's really average from what we've saw and hear so far and even though Chipchura has some fine but moreso some bad moments as well.

Any link people can provide so we could be updated to whoever go on that waiver wire as it happen?
Chipchura is the ideal fourth line center at the moment, no need to see elsewhere..

I totally agree on the first part.

as for Murphy over Breeze I'm not sure; I havn't seen him play enough to tell, but I am not sure Murphy would accept a role like that and certainly will bring less leadership to the table.

But if he is really better, hey, screw leadership.

Leadership? Brisebois is depth. Koivu, Kovalev, Markov and Hammer, those are our leaders, Brisebois is not, not by a long shot

I doubt Murphy would really mind playing on arguably the best PP in the league, let alone playing for the Montreal Canadiens in their 100th anniversary season!

But I have no doubt in my mind that Pittsburgh well get him if he slips that far.. actually, do the penguins have waiver priority over us? does it go by last regular season or is playoffs included?

If you claim murphy, how do you get rid of breezy??

If you put him on waivers and he clears them, he could go to hamilton, but because he was over 35 when he signed his contract he would still count on the cap.

i knew that, i was just talking about the fact we would be much better with Murphy instead of Breezeby in our line-up

That's a good one - no doubt?? None at all?? Wow, what happens when Murphy doesn't get picked up by Pittsburgh, do you have to re-evaluate your whole way of thinking??
