Mission Fuel 95XP skates?

Hockey Giant has them for $54 for the week, are they any good?

If anyone's interested XP0925 is the coupon code

The holders and steel are worth $54 bucks alone.

They only have 9.5 and less . It seems that Mission sizes the same as shoes. So I'd need bigger than that.

Depends on what model Mission and if the boot actually fit your foot. Wouldn't be much of an upgrade if the boot was too narrow and caused serious pain during use.

If you have a flat foot, don't bother, as Mission has a rather high arch support. Also, it was the old Amp series that went by shoe size, the new models are about a size off (ie: 10.5 shoe, 9.5 skate).

Are you positive about that? A buddy of mine wants some new skates and he's used Missions before and wants to give this a chance. HockeyMonkey states the US foot size = skate size.

I'm not criticizing what your saying, just double checking.

EDIT: Hell, I just talked to my friend and we both might buy them, so now I really want an answer.

I'm quite sure you drop a size from your shoe, but this is also dependent upon how your shoe company sizes their product. As in every case, trying them on is the only way to be certain. The skates need to be laced up as though you were going out for a skate, and you will need to give the heel a SOLID slam. When you're sitting down, you shouldn't feel the very front of the toecap, but when you stand flat footed, you should just barely graze the end. If you're borderline between a regular and a wide width, go with the narrower choice. A boot will always stretch out, but will never shrink in if you buy too wide.

Good info. But for 55 beans I'm going to take a chance and if I don't like them I'll probably just give them away or sell real cheap. I wear an 8 (I think) in my Vapor XIX so I'll just match them up that way.

The new models run same sizes as the shoe size-- I wear 10.5 in both.

Has anyone used this skate? I'm ordering them in the morning most likely. I heard from someone else they go about a size smaller than the shoe size. Anyone have these exact skates and can confirm? Worst case scenario I'm buying them a size smaller and hoping for the best.
