New "Is This the Year" Ads
New NHL is this the year ads are up on the nhl.tv console, search Is this the year, the two (four actually two in French, two in English) Habs one are one page 9.

Each team has the same template, picture of the players with dramatic music and a line at the end. Pretty well done. I like'em.

They're not as great as the ones where Crosby, Phaneuf, Lundqvist and Kane come to life, but still entertaining.

not a fan of these ads.

The ones from last year are much better, and i mean MUCH!!

The Lundqvist one looks too stupid because of his mask...

Other ones look great though. They gotta get a talking one with Ovechkin...

The Carey Price one and the Montreal ones are great though even if they are just montages...

The lines at the end are both clever. The line at the end of the Brendan Morrow one i have no clue what it means though...

So I was peeing at the Bell centre and that was the add I was staring at above the urinal.

Good stuff from the Sergei Kostitsyn fan club at Molson..




For the mere mortals who do not speak french, Molson ex has been running an ad campaign in Quebec called: "Le bon Serge" or "The Good Serge". Essentially its all about how to be a good/cool guy and drink Molson.

One of their ads, in the Bell Centre is: A good Serge can also be called Sergei.

I hate the commercials as well, I hate the way they try to appeal to the public, however I think it was clever to link their commercial with Sergei.
