Habs looking great for new season: Cherry

There's no reason to believe that the Montreal Canadiens won't be contending for the Eastern Conference crown, according to Hockey Night in Canada's Don Cherry.
Goaltender Carey Price will be the man on the spot in Montreal, Cherry believes. Price was sensational at times during his rookie season, but struggled in the second round of the playoffs when the Canadiens were eliminated by the Philadelphia Flyers.
"Let's hope he bounces back, because they've got everything going for them now," Cherry said.
The colourful HNIC commentator said the coaching staff, led by Guy Carbonneau and Kirk Muller, is top-notch and the acquisition of Robert Lang was a key move for the club.
"I don't see [that] they need anything," Cherry said.
Cherry made his comments during a media conference call in which hockey analysts across North America assessed the upcoming season.

Oh, he mentioned Robert Lang? My bad. Usually he just talks about Saku Koivu's "heart" and thats it for his mentioning of anyone European.
That said, Don Cherry is a born loser. Never has someone with less Cup experience been considered an expert on what it takes to win a Cup.

Technically , if the dog is dead then it means that he can't have it with him

Just wait 'til a Habs/Leafs game.
We've all suspected that he doesn't like the Habs, christ, the guy coached the Bruins and cheers on the Leafs, all he's missing is a Nordiques jersey....oh the irony that would cause, if anything the world might implode.
It's nice to see him say some positive things about the Habs outside of a Habs game, I could really care less about how he feels about this team, because we sure as **** never heard him talk much about the Habs during Coach's Corner on HNIC.
It's just another guy giving props where it's due. Don't read too much into it.
