Hutchinson still a bust

Damian Cristodero (A lighting beat writer with the team in Europe) just said on NHL Live that Hutch may be sitting on opening night as he has really disappointed. He has been passed on the depth chart by a 21 year old rook that I never heard of.

LOL, how did we let him go!

Had no concept of defensive positioning and it was the reason he was never going to stick.

Never understood why some people were so blinded by his stats with the Pack last year. Just watch the guy play and it is clear what is going on. (Yet those are the same people who considered themselves smart enough to bash Malik)

Why are we celebrating this?

Well I live in NC, and I watched him play down here. He was a number 7 at best, on a team that didn't have the greatest defense, but still went on to win the cup (and I am a fan of the Canes as well, this is just speaking truth). When we got him in the trade I thought we were going to waive him straight off and just keep the pick, I was surprised we even kept him around.

I am celebrating the fact that we did not keep him and expect him to jump in our top 6 because of his AHL numbers. I am not bashing him, just glad he is not in our top 6.

So after this bizarre offseason we're noting the absence of an AHL defenseman who was never going to be anything more?

Whatever floats your boat...

I'm actually surprised that a mention of Hutch made it to the NYR boards, as well as was hockey news.

Wow, non-news at its finest.

Sucks for Hutch. He's a 4A player.

Well hopefully Grachev turns into a player, if not we reall get nothing from the Cullen trade except a salary dump. Barnes seems to have less potential than Hutch.

Not sure why we need to kick this guy when he's down.

It's not like we are talking about fatso err Marty.

Hutch is gone and who would want Barnes for anything except a bucket of pucks? Why would anyone be the least bit interest in him?

barnes still has potential, and it is to early to write him off. he has just had a lot of injury problems.

either way it was more of a salary dump to move cullen, so it is all good.

I think this thread is less about kicking Hutch and more of an "I told you so" to all the people who wanted Hutch resigned and given a chance on this team. Either way it probably wasn't necessary.
