Kings Juniors Prospects Update

I didn't know their seasons had started, but it looks like it has.

Bryan Cameron scored his second of the season.
King had a goal the other night.
Teubert had a goal and had a fight in another game the other night.

Not sure on the other players in juniors, I just did a quick look.

It would be awesome if we could get another minor league update thread going again this year.

Yeah, no it's not. The CHL regular season started almost a couple of weeks ago.

Sorry when I think of Minor Leagues i think of the AHL and the ECHL. Not juniors. I usually just say Juniors Updates. Honest mistake.

I'll start the CHL and NCAA update thread tonight. Was waiting for more prospects to be sent down to juniors but I suppose it's time now.

IIRC, Fillier had a quick start with five points in 2 games, Cameron had 5 points in 3 games, Teubert had 3 points in 3 games, King 2 points in 2 games, and Wudrick 2 points in 3 games.

Andrei Loktionov will be in the lineup for the Windsor Spitfires tonight, and their 3 games in 3 nights road trip, starting tonight in Peterborough.

Thanks Sam, I forgot who did it last year. You did a spot on job. It should/could be a really interesting season for these prospects. I have noticed the movement away from college players to CHL kids in the organization.

Lombardi hasn't just moved away from College kids and towards Major Junior, but also away from European kids as well.

Half of our prospects during the DT era were european, Swedes and Finns mainly. Now we've got the Russians and Moller who was drafted out of major junior.

Kings Assign Meckler and Voynov to Manchester

http://kings.nhl.com/team/app/?servc...ticleid=384534

I figured it would be bigger cuts than this.

Wow, I had to read it a couple times before I saw that Moller and Boyle were not sent down.

David Meckler and Viatcheslav Voynov to Manchester. Cool to see Voynov at Manchester instead of jrs.

Good for Jones, he must have impressed.

Can the Kings send him back to Junior at some point or is it once he is assigned to Manchester he can't go back to juniors?

Signing Jones and then sending him back to Calgary...not so much. So this pretty much spells the end for one of Zatkoff, Taylor, Quick after this year then huh?

And lastly anyone else think Meckler, Boyle, and Moller got sent down for a second after seeing the blurb on the front page?
Yes I thought the same thing and was pissed for a millisecond.

I would think so, but once he goes to juniors he can't come back 'til the jr team's season is over.

Yes, a ticket to juniors is of the one way variety, but he can stay in the AHL as long as the Kings want him too. Joe Ryan did something similar last year. He was sent down and was in camp up until the last cuts from Manchester and was then sent back to Juniors.

As for Quick and Zatkoff, buy low sell high.

Agreed! Ivanans is good at what he does, but Westgarth could be better, I think.

Hi Gang...this thread has been re-purposed to discuss Voynov and Meckler being sent down specifically. There was a separate Jones thread already that has been resurrected. I've moved some of the Jones posts there.

Thanks Tony! When I posted I wasn't sure if I should have done separate threads, but since it was the same article link I made it one.
