Too many changes so far for a young franchise.

I say we use the 300 theme (Nine Inch Nails) like we did in the 07 Playoffs. Good karma and an awesome song.

No. We have to distance ourselves as far as possible from Spartans.

It reminds me of the pride I felt when our city finally had an NHL team in 1992, and the pride I feel every time they take the ice.

Also, I wish they never went away from the original 2D centurion logo. Despite its short history (about 15 years), it already had a classic look. Then they went and bastardized it!

Come on Sens!! Stop trying to be modern and edgy and cherish what little history and tradition you have!!
AGREE!

I still hope they use the Sens theme for the playoff entrances, it wouldn't be the same.
If the crowd is as into it as they're supposed to be for the playoffs, once the team hits the ice, you don't hear the music .. I haven't been to a playoff game in 8 years, but that's how I remember it

The ditty they play is pretty ass. I'd hate to say it but Montreal had the perfect song last year in Fix you...Ottawa needs to find some inspiring song (no, not the final countdown) and run with that.

I have been a die-hard for since 1992, lived through the rough years in the early nineties and died a little each time we were eliminated from the playoffs.

The Senators theme is one of the few traditions left... it's not broken, so why the need to fix it?

Sens brass are following the CBC's lead?
Getting rid of the Hockey Night in Canada theme makes no sense to me... everyone knows the HNIC theme, it's a frakking institution! So is the Senators theme song... it is uniquely Ottawa.

I probably should qualify that I love team songs:
-Notre Dame fight song
-Hail to the Redskins
-The New York Rangers Goal Song
-the Hartford Whalers Brass Bonanza

No kidding, but that has to be saved for the playoffs to keep it special. It would be appropriate this year too, since we have a team more closely resembling those years in style (probably).

Notre Dame? Hail to the Victors is the way to go...though they haven't been hailed often this year.

Go Blue!

IMO, this is the best song to get pumped up before a game, I'd love if the players would come onto the ice with this playing full blast in the arena.

They absolutetly have to keep the theme song around.

I was 10 years old when the Sens came back to town and I've followed the team's every move ever since. I have so many memories about gonig to games at the Civic Center, my first games at the Corel Center, the first playoffs, the rising of many hockey stars, etc... and all of those moments involve the theme song.

Not to sound overly emotional, but we didn't have much money when I grew up and I was only able to go to a game a yaer (if that). Live games were really special for me and the players coming out to the sound of the theme song was a big part of it. To this day, watching every game and attending about 6 games a year, I still get the chills when they come out on the ice.

Yeah, its a useful site to get some of the mixes he uses.

But I think this probably goes higher than him. I doubt he has the right to decide on something this big.

Just go through the "contact us" page on the Sens site.

I know who to contact, but I don't feel comfortable putting his name and e-mail on here, but I can pm it.

When i was at the Def Leppard concert in august. I was sure they were saying Go Sens Go in this song.
Then i read the lyrics and realised it was too good to be true.
