Alexandre Picard named to Canadian Junior Development Camp

http://www.tsn.ca/world_jrs/news_story.asp?id=88566

doesn't go in depth about players, but the 'other' Alexandre Picard is the Flyers prospect who plays for Cape Breton, who we drafted last year

Carter and Richards have also been invited, as well as Rejean Beauchemin.

Colin Fraser too. Pretty good draft year by Clarke and co.

Tremblay gets more attention around here, but Beauchemin improved more and probably has a brighter future.

I think thats even an understatement....I'm really amazed at the Flyers' draft last year....I mean the WJC squads are the best of Canadian up and comers...now is that to say that they will all become stars just cuz they made the WJC camp, of course not, but it still shows the caliber of players that Clarke went out there and found...

Picard has a chance to be a Flyer someday, for sure

sort of off topic...lets think of some other duplicate sets of names...I know in hockey there are sets of Cory Stillman's and Petr Sykora's...in football there was a James Stewart (current Lions RB) drafted in the 1st round, then some other insignificant James Stewart drafted much later...others?

There is another Alexandre Picard coming HAHAA

He is 87 born. Playing in the Q next year.

There arent that many duplicate names in hockey.

Cory Stillman, Alex Picard and Petr Sykora are the only ones that come to mind.

i saw all the home games and a few on the road for the Piques in the playoffs and i can agree with Lalaprise that Tremblay was "OK" and that's it.

Most nights he was very reliable, but some doubtful goals at times was the reason people saw goaltending as the only weakness Gatineau had.

Well you guys were stacked, so its not a bad thing that Tremblay was the weakness because he wasnt "weak" it's just that everything else was amazing.

He never had to steal any games and thats a testimate to how good you guys were.

He did let in a couple softies during the Mem cup though.

Bite your tongue....... I knew about the Kitchener Rangers long before I even knew that other team existed! I prefer to pretend that there is only one...
