and i agree that it's about time the flyers started wearing orange again. black was cool for a while, but the flyers should really be in orange. that's why i was disappointed when the old alternate (the one with the new style emblem, bleh) was the only orange shirt we had.
i think there's a reason that type of nameplate faded out. i wish it would just be the lettering on the jersey.
other than that, at least it's orange, with the original logo. i like it.
IIRC, the only time they used that was for nationally televised games in the mid 70s until the NHL made it a requirement. Supposedly, Harold Ballard of Toronto was so against the addition, that he initially refused then he had the names in the same color as the jersey so that it met the requirement but was unnoticeable.
