How has HORNQVIST looked in the preseason?

Lots of hype around him prior to the season and I understand he is slotted in to play on the top line...how has he looked thus far? Will he stick on the top line or is the goal to get another winger via trade?

i think he was our best overall forward, and when he finds his finish, he's going to be every bit as good as hyped, if not better.

I tend to agree but I hope it doesn't take 20 games for the HAD line to gel (as in, we HAD a chance to make the playoffs but for the first 20 games) or for him to find his finish. Arnott and Dumont look generally like Slugo and Sleepy... I know they are vets saving it for the real games but judging from last night it isn't helping get them on the same page. Maybe Hornqvist should dog it for the next couple of games...

Setting aside the bitter taste from last night's debacle, I think Hornqvist is looking "as advertised". He doesn't look out of place in our top 5... uhhh....6.... and he generally has been playing a pretty strong, confident game. He still looks like he is feeling his way into it a bit so I expect further improvement.

I love Hörnqvist. He doesn't go around stirring things up like Pihlström does, but he's always in the right place at the right time. Once he starts burying shots, he's going to be a big-time force for us.

I think Horny (my new nickname for him) has been exactly as advertised. I'm looking forward to seeing him gel even more with Arnott and Dumont.

just as an FYI the general consensus I've seen around here is that Horny will likely be good for 35-45 points. But, you never know.

He sure has been racking up shots in the preseason... He gets like 8 per game.

You know a player is going to say that at some point during the season, and when it comes, I hope its youtubed immediately!

Well it's not youtube, but from Brandon Felder's blog: http://www.hockeybuzz.com/blog.php?p...&blogger_id=94

Arnott on his lines scoring chances ... – “..... I think Horny really has a lot of vision and plays real hard and once he gets his scoring touch back he’ll be fine. ...”

I think this may be the first quoted "Horny".

Wasn't he also the one who came up with the line "Captian Clueless" for Radulov?

So what are the odds that we hear the arena DJ play "Me So Horny" after he nets his first goal?
